I purchased this phone, new in April 2017. I wanted a phablet and could not find a better choice than the Note 5. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. I got a "white" version, only because it was the only "new" one I could find, but to my suprise the white is not really that white, it is more of an "off-white" kinda pearl color, very nice, pleasantly suprised. The other reason I got the phone was to have a fingerprint scanner. The scanner on the Note 5 works very well. It also doubles as a home botton, which I really missed on my last 2 phones. Pros: *excellent screen *recent update to Nougat, Android 7.0 *very peppy processor *camera Cons: *OK, all that screen and battery do make the phone a bit on the heavy side. *No expandable memory.
I can not believe that Samsung took away the removeable battery and the SD card. Also, they removed the 360 rotating screen. I wish I could go back to my Note 4. I have had all of the Note products as well as owing several tablets, watches, and bluethooth headphones. I am very disappointed with this product and at Samsung. Hey Samsung, you have loyal consumers that stayed with you despite the ups and downs on your products. If we wanted something that looked like or operated like the iPhone we would just go get an iPhone...!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no sd card, no removeable battery, no 360 rotating home screens, no real case that will protect a glass back
