Very Happy

Purchased this unit to replace a 22 year old Amana cooktop that was completely worn out. New cooktop is faster, easier to clean and has more burners than the old unit. Wife likes the quick boil feature and is very pleased with the new system. No complaints or concerns.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my new cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first electric cook-top. I am very happy with it! :D
The controls are easy to use, it has a light for every burner to let you know which ones are on. I especially like how the burners will turn on and off to keep an even heat.
The cook-top cleans up very easily. The dials are heavy duty. It looks great on my counter-top!
I would purchase another GE Profile if/when I need to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

More pleased than I thought I would be...

I bought this cooktop 6 months ago and I find I am more and more pleased with it! I'm a ceramic cooktop fan because I like the sealed top clean cooking action and look of the appliance.... I've had them for years. I like to cook and have adjusted cooking to these types of cooktops. This one is so responsive..heating up and cooling down..that I just smile. Mine has a power boil feature on one burner, a small and large adjustable cooking plate for one burner and a lock button for complete on and off....I really like all those things. I'd highly recommend this thing, truly! I rarely do these online reviews, but I wanted to do this one, for sure. It came with Cerama Bryte cleaner and that works beautifully for this product.

The cooking surface is very small which makes it very difficult to have 5 skillets/pots on at one time. Even with only 2-3, it is not easy. Cleaning is only a 2-3 stars as well. I have used the cleaner that came with the cooktop and it does not work well. Stainless is already scratched in multiple spots and I have only been in my new home for 2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I looked high and low for the perfect cooktop for my new home. This one had less black and more stainless steel and any other. When I ordered it I really didn't understand the quick boil features. I can boil a pot in minutes. There are 5 burners and two of them change sizes. I love this feature!

Love the inner / outer element design and five burner selection. We have many cooks and sometimes at the same time. This feature allows everyone to get crackin!

Product has a mounting problem

The cooktop has a foam gasket under the lip of the top plate which prevents the cooktop from sitting flush with the countertop. This leaves about a 1/8 inch gap between the bottom surface of the cooktop and the countertop which is a trap for dirt and food particles. This also makes for poor mounting esthetics. I think this is unacceptable for such an expensive product and would not recommend this to anyone.

JUST REPLACED MY OLD 36 INCH COOKTOP DURING A RECENT RENOVATION WITH A 30 INCH. AT FIRST I WAS AFRAID THERE WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH ROOM TO COOK BUT THIS 5 BURNER HAS PLENTY OF COOKING AREA.
