Great speakers for life

Had a number of Bose speakers throughout my life starting with the 901 series when I was a DJ. back in the day. Now I have settled with a pair of 201's and 301's for my music room.

All what Bose is about!

After reading multiple reviews from different websites I decided to take a shot and try this pair of speakers.
What a pleasant surprise I had while unboxing, the quality that only Bose can deliver was present in all details, from the carton box, up to the nice pair of black finish speakers.
Very easy setup, the key is to have the right amplifier to connect them to. I got a pair of banana plugs, a couple meters of 18 gauge copper oxygen-free speaker cable and that was much it.
I hooked them into a Bose SA-5 sound touch amplifier (newest available) and start enjoying crisp clear, loud beautiful sound that only Bose can deliver. Simply amazing.
The weight and size of each speaker is perfect to either have them on a table, bookshelf or have them wall mounted, or on stands. The key for this will depend on your room layout.
I had the amplifier connected to my music library, and all managed through the sound touch app with IOS, very simple, straightforward and most important, GREAT SOUND!
Can't go wrong in choosing this speakers, I would definitely recommend them!

I have had these speakers for little over a month now and so far, they have been an excellent speaker. I was using the Bose satellite speakers I have had for about 15 years and though they sound great, they do not have the full sound I am looking for. The 301 speaker gives me a fuller sound.

Outstanding speakers

I've had my 301s for 22 years. They still sound great. I use them outside when the wife and kids are gone and they sound as good at 100 yards as at 10 feet. I've forgotten to bring them in a few times, so they've been snowed on, rained on, dewed on and frozen, with no effect.
Still waiting for the right time to get a pair of 901 speakers, but I need a larger house for them.

301's Sounds Great!

Just got my speakers last week, and they are amazing. Have been setting up my system again, turntable, new reciever, and wanted the best speakers. They are really nice. Did buy the stands for them, and that only iproved the sound.

best sound for the price

I bought two sets of the 301's back in 2000. I fell in love with the sound quality of a set of 501's while in Europe and have had Bose products around me since. Even my Mazda has a Bose system in it. Although I'd love to have a pair of 901's life is good with my 301's. It is unbelievable to have surround sound with only two speakers. The total overall sound that the 301's deliver is just like what everyone talks about "like being there" you hear everything and such a beautiful balance of bass, midrange and the highs. every product that I have purchased from Bose, has never let me down in the sound or design.

I bought 4 of these in College because I wanted better sound than the loud people across the street. 15 years later no problems, great sound. They've been with me through three apartments and soon to number 4. Love them

Pleasing and Affordable

I've had many experiences with Bose in the past. Generally speaking, they've delivered on quality, affordable products across many different audio and video categories. Although focus on their bookshelf and floor-standing speakers have mostly taken a back seat to pushing modern, compact solutions, I'm happy to say these 301s still deliver very well.
They're fairly compact, definitely well built, and are very stylish. The sound stage is excellent, and the distinction between mids, highs, and lows are well defined. These do have a more colored sound profile than many competing products, but that is part of the reason why I chose these; these offer a bit more punch in the lows compared to completely neutral studio monitors - I like it, and it makes for an excellent movie experience in my bedroom.
Overall, I would highly recommend the 301s, but I do wish Bose still sold some of their more impressive speakers still, like the 8.2s, 10.2s, 4001s, 401s, 501s, 701s, and more, but I guess most consumers just aren't into large stereo these days. I'll end by saying it's hard to go wrong with the 301s. Paired with the 201s and 151s, these can make a pretty mean home theater system, but even left as a stereo pair, they're very nice.
