[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pedestal it lifts the dryer up to the perfect height, so I don’t have to bend over to get clothes out. I am sure everyone uses it for storage, but I use it as a clothes hamper, it’s the perfect size. It actually holds way more than you would think. This is a must buy!

Some of us have dryer vents that are under the unit and not behind the unit. Dryers come with the option to mount a kit to discharge out of the bottom (saves space, safer due to no pipes coiled behind the unit to trap lint, allows the unit to be pushed to the rear wall), but these pedestals need to have a perforated slot option cut into them to allow the pedestal to be used in a bottom discharge configuration. I modify the drawer by cutting the slot and building a barrier around the vertical discharge. Sure it voids the pedestal warranty, but we get to enjoy the units sitting higher and we don't have to bend over as far to wash and dry clothes and we don't have to worry about a dryer lint fire behind the unit.

Finally replace my LG dryer after 18 years of reliable service and I upgraded to a latger 9.0 cu ft dryer. Since I couldn't use my former 27 inch pedestal, I shopped for a 29 inch pedestal. I could only find the matching graphite steel pedestal for a reasonable price on the LG website. I could have purchased a black LG 29 inch pedestal, but that would look really funky. Install was really easy and I appreciate the slight design change in securing the dryer onto the pedestal. Glad I got the matching colors and looking towards another 18 years of reliable service!
