Great value, good design

I based my purchase on all the factors above, and ultimately chose the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 for value. I had the first edition iPad and was disappointed with the productivity offered on the first edition, so I sold it after 6 months. I waited a few years before jumping into the tablet world again, and after "test driving" the Samsung, I was tickled to take the plunge once again. I especially like the overall design and performance, but only gave 4 stars since I haven't had enough time to really soak up all there is to see with this tablet. The music player is excellent, and the screen quality (color, clarity) is also excellent. I haven't watched any movies or read any books yet, but with how great the screen quality is, I know I am going to be pleased. Productivity needs a bit of work - downloading and storing files using Dropbox is a pain. It was easier to email a file to myself and save it to documents than to fool with Dropbox. The vast array of apps is another plus. I don't "game", so any news, entertainment and office apps offered, I have already loaded. Overall, I am quite pleased with all aspects of this tablet - lightweight, great screen quality and sound, great apps. A+, Samsung!

I use my tab so much my phone is almost obsolete, not to mention my laptop. In fact, the only thing I would change is I would add a USB port or two. That way I can use my hard drive. Then I would truly have no use for my laptop.

Cons: no usb ports

I was "SOLD" this product because it was supposed to be easier to use than I pad.
My main problem is the page disappears before you have finished. You can get
back to it but it slows me down. I don't find it easier than the "I-pad."

I have had problems with this thing since I bought it. I guess it is something to do with the USB port as concerning charging. I can plug this in and it will go from maybe 10 percent charge right up to 70 percent or more. Battery life has always been bad, never gotten the long battery charge like the add said. Sent it in while it was under warranty worked for a short time then back to the same old deal. Should of bought and iPad in the first place. Samsung last a customer in me and to think I was going to buy a TV and phone from them. Ain't happening.
Cons: Poor quality, short battery life, piece of junk
