We decided to cancel cable and to explore Netflix, Hulu Plus etc but totally neglected to consider buying an old school antenna to watch the network channels. We were shocked at the quality of digital broadcasts via the antenna. The geek in me wanted to buy the more expensive models but ultimately I wanted to give this model a try first. In a word, wow. Great picture, super easy to set up and nice to remember that they are giving it away free on the airwaves. The downside, rabbit ears are totally ugly but if you want great reception, easy setup and little cost, this is the ticket.

I went into Best Buy looking for an antenna that would get good reception but not cost me too much money. An employee showed me some of the more expensive ones but then recommended this RCA antenna for it's low price and positive feedback on reception. I took it home and plugged it in and in less than 10 minutes I had all available channels on my TV.

THis is a basic HDTV antenna for short range (under 20 miles) OTA HD reception and is works great. I have two of these and they do exactly what they are suposed to do and as a bonus keep me from having to pay for cable or satellite tv!
What's great about it: great price
What's not so great: which the ears potion work more flexible.

This was the 4th antenna I tried. Prices ranging from $15-$80 and believe it or not we received the best reception from this one. Beautiful picture and we do not live close to the towers. Distance for most is 28.8 miles. I am amazed at how well these work. Try it, what do you have to lose.

We are in the St Louis metro area and wanted to watch TV in our bedroom without shelling out another $100 for a sattelite receiver and additional monthly fees. I hoped to pick up a few local network channels with this antenna and was amazed when I hooked up the antenna and set the TV to search for stations. Without adjusting the antenna, I picked up 21 channels, all crystal clear and most in HD.

I have a digital TV, which I use for internet streaming, and I don't want to pay cable prices just to get a few basic channels from time to time. I finally bought this antenna to try and watch the Olympics and within a couple minutes of plugging it into the TV and programming the channels, I had over a dozen channels - the major networks and some local and PBS channels for very clear and uninterrupted reception. This antenna was a great buy (it's new so I don't know how durable it is)! I live in a very old building, but it's in a city, so there must be strong enough broadcasts that this antenna picks them up well enough. It is great to have these channels for FREE if I want to watch sports or whatever, and I don't have to deal with a cable company or bills for content that should be free anyway.
What's great about it: cheap price, simple, good quality picture

I went out to get a more expensive unit then saw this one at the store and decided I would give this unit a shot and if I needed to spend more money than I would. I'm glad I did. Now my house is the home of free HD. (we should never have to pay extra for something{HD} that is free.) with a little patience I was able to get all the local HD channels as clear as cable. My advice to anyone with this unit re-scan each time you turn the fine tuning knob, once you have all of the channels that you want forget about it.
Now if this unit would have come with an HDMI connection so you could get true HD it would have been perfect.

Purchased this for use with my 26" Insignia HD TV. Picks up a lot more stations then I thought it would with strong signals for my area. Very pleased with it.
