This antenna did not do much for me and I live on the edge of the city. Perhaps the signal is to weak out here, but I was disappointed with the two channels we were able to receive. I returned it. Not recommended in a suburban setting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No reception, but not surprising for this area

I live in an area surrounded by hills and with a mountain between my house and TV broadcast antennas. I was canceling my satellite TV service to replace it with a Roku (which I love) and I hoped this antenna would allow me to pick up local broadcast stations, but I wasn't surprised when I got no signal. This antenna gets generally good reviews and probably works well in a less hilly area, but where I live I got absolutely no reception.
Based on reviews I've read and on my experience, I'd recommend this unit to people not living in areas as hilly as where I live.
Best Buy refunded my purchase without hesitation.
What's not so great: not good in hilly area
I would recommend this to a friend!
