First off: AVOID! This antenna is horrible. It is small and wont even pick up channels that my 60 year old rabbit ears pick up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You get what you payed for

This product might work fine if you live in an uncongested area but if you live in an area similar to NYC like I do and are surrounded by buildings, this product is useless.
I was able to access ABC at first but could barely get NBC and CBS didn't come in at all, as the night progressed the signal got worse and eventually it started dropping the few channels I could get.
You have to get up and move the antennas around constantly to try and get a signal. You'll spend more time glued to this antenna than you will doing anything else so if you get aggravated easily and have high blood pressure, stay clear of this thing, it'll be the end of you.
I'm returning it first thing tomorrow.
What's great about it: Not much
What's not so great: Doesn't work well in city environment
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plugged it in, got 4 channels. Replaced it with a 6 foot piece of 12 ga Al wire draped over window and got 16 channels.
What's great about it: easy to return
What's not so great: it does nothing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was frustrated with my first 2 purchases of antenna's; they either broke right away or just didn't work! My sister talked me into this one; she has it in her garage and it works on her small flat-screen perfectly. So I got it; and I love it! I get more channels and they are beautiful! I recommend it!

When my dad canceled his cable subscription and got a converter box instead, he didn't know he also needed the antenna, but this one works well. Picks up many more stations that anticipated with it's wide reach. Not unreasonably priced, but he was still annoyed at having to buy it at all. For the price it does pick up many more channels than expected, so pleasantly surprised.

Very good affordable antenna

I recently cancelled my cable television subscription that I've had for years not only because of rising costs but also because I just didn't watch television as much anymore. Nevertheless, I still wanted basic channels for watching events like the local news and some shows.
I did purchase several tv antennas including the more expensive non-rabbit ear tv antennas, which unfortunately did not work very well in my apartment. Of all the antennas I tried, I have to say that this model and model #ANT111 (the other rabbit-ear RCA antenna without the dial or movable ring) had the best reception. I also purchased a new HDTV and the HD signals on the channels come in very clearly. NBC is the only channel I am having some trouble with and seeing a lot of distortion. The antenna should be next to a window for best reception quality.
What's great about it: cheap price, easy set-up, fairly good reception
What's not so great: some channels are fuzzy
I would recommend this to a friend!
