OUTSTANDING - NOT JUST ANOTHER COOKTOP!

My husband and I purchased our 'LG' radiant cooktop after comparing it with several other brands of cooktops, because of it's: #1- sleek, practical, upscale appearance and #2- the ease of keeping it clean #important because I am handicapped#.
Now that we have used our cooktop for several months, our decision has proven to be the correct one. Learning how to use the controls was easy,the burners respond quickly, cleaning couldn't be easier - NO MORE UNDER BURNER PANS OR CONTROL KNOBS TO CLEAN!!!
All in all - a good decision and a great cooktop - for now and for years to come #will be a definite plus when we decide to sell our home#.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

The worst warranty and customer service

November 2018 we “upgraded” all our kitchen appliances. Now our cooktop has completely stopped working. It has been out since September 20th, it is now October 4th and still we have not been told when this will be replaced. A technician came out September 25th and confirmed that the cooktop needed to be replaced and it would be 3-5 days before we would hear from the other department that handles these issues. I have called intermittently and the call center staff seem to get angry because I am frustrated that they can’t give me any answers other than “now you just have to wait!” There is no urgency and in fact, it seems that they are really trying to discourage any warranty support hoping that the customer will just give up and deal with the repair/replacement on our own. I am very disappointed and would never endorse LG products to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So disappointed!

I purchased this cooktop in summer 2019 and it was installed 8/2019. I’ve truly enjoyed using it- when it works. Last year, 12/27/2019 the lights on the touch panel started blinking- thankfully we were able to reset the breaker and everything was back to normal. Until 12/27/2020- coincidence?? Our warranty was expired and the repair person told us it would cost more to fix it than it did to buy it, how disappointing! So the cooktop was great, but only for 16 months. I would not recommend this product.

We bought the LG Studio LSCE 36" electric cooktop and are we totally amazed. It's better then they said it was and it does more then they show. I've been cooking for over 55 years and this unit surpasses all my expectation. It was a breeze to install and it took only moments to learn how to use it. I'm only sorry we didn't do this sooner. Thank you again LG for a GREAT product, you out did yourself this time.

Easy to install. The clean-up of a single surface [ no knobs or holes ] is a HUGE plus. Only takes a short time to learn how to use the controls [ easy ]. The design is simple and elegant. My wife cooks alot, and simply put, she loves it.

Three months and still not working
on December 5, 2019

I bought this cooktop in August. It worked when they did the install. Went to use it the next day and it wasn’t working. Then had electrician look at it. He got it working. Went to use it and it had stopped working. Electrician can back two more times and same thing. NOT WORKING!!! Today, LG Service sent someone he said it was the main board. BTW, the tech from LG that he talked to was extremely rude to him and said it had to do with the electrical cord that Home Depot provided. The cooktop cord comes from LG with the cooktop and NOT from Home Depot. Then the tech on the phone said it was South Carolina code for wiring appliances. Apparently, the main board needs replacing. Seriously, on a appliance that has never been used because it never worked. Customer Service will not replace the cooktop even though it has never worked. Do not buy this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this cooktop locally, it was installed on June 27 and was used 3 times when it completely shut down in the middle of cooking dinner (June29)! It has not worked since. The Repair Tech came out and decided it needs a new circuit board ... which was ordered and due in on July 8 ... they plan on installing it July 11. We have had to eat out or find other methods of cooking for the past several weeks .... I would not recommend purchasing one of these cooktops. I have looked at the on-line reviews and have noticed that the same problem has been occurring with this cooktop for the past 2 years. You would think that LG would have looked into correcting the problem, long ago!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] During a kitchen remodel we selected this LG model after researching all the different brands, models, and features. We hit a home run with this new LG. We love the touch control (no knobs) feature. It gives our new granite counter top a very rich and fashionable look. The glass top unit that was replaced had knobs but the new LG's touch control was very easy for us to adapt to. After a month of ownership, we are extremely pleased.
