[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it a few weeks ago and it has been installed about two weeks. Great cooktop! Looks good and works well. The only small problem is that it is sometimes difficult to get turned on. My wife can get it every time but I'm not doing the touch screen right I guess.
Purchased to replace very old coil cook top. Loving it. Easy to use and so much easier to clean

Good Consistent Heat but Not Intuitive to Use

Love the size and versatility of this cooktop. The number of burners, and the fact that it requires contact with a pan before it will heat up is a great security feature. The missing star is because it is not very intuitive to turn on, or off. You have to hold the finger contact down for several seconds before it will turn on. There is no instant response, so you do not know if it is in child lock safety mode, or if your fingers are just not making contact in the right spot on the top. This means a bit of search and try, before you can get the cooktop to turn on. Additionally, if you want to move the setting up or down on an individual burner, you have to go back to the central on/off location, and touch this, as well a the new heat setting before your burner will change temperatures. The change is not activated at the individual burner without going to the central start point first. I consider this to be the equivalent of too many clicks on a website to get to the result you want. But the temperatures are true, and the heat consistent, so perhaps I need to use it more and it will become easier. My concern is that this cooktop will be used by guests, and they may not be familiar with this process. It makes it less easy to use for the occasional user. I sure don't want to have a set of cheat sheet instructions on the wall for them to use it. That's a pain. Overall, nice quality and it looks nice. Just an FYI, the glass cooktop has a slight texture, which may make you think it is dirty at first glance. It is not. It's a contact feature, I'm sure. Just wanted the readers here to be aware.

I've only been using my cook top for about a month but so far I am really enjoying it. Once I got used to how it works, I find that I really like the fact that there are no knobs, making it so easy to clean.

Heats up quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well, but very sensitive. If something boils over a bit, it shuts off and lights go crazy. If there is liquid on stove top, nothing works. If a hot tray or pot is placed on the stove top when off or on all the lights on burners begin to flash. Can't turn off until item is removed and stove tops cools down. Frustrating and time consuming.l

Great cooktop, but could have been better

This cooktop heats fast and holds temperature nicely. Overall materials seem to be high quality, and all functions as advertised. Overall, this is a nice product.
I have two issues with the cooktop. First, the aluminum front edge looks nice, at first. It is soft and easily scratched by moving pans over its surface. Even clean smooth bottom pans can and will scratch the surface. Ours looked well used after the first 30 days. Too bad for such a nice cooktop.
Second, the controls are not intuitive. You must turn on the burner by touching the symbol, but the temperature controls are only in the center symbol. Everyone who uses this cooktop tries to adjust the burner on the symbol for that burner. How hard would it have been to put a temperature switch in each symbol? You could have turned on the burner and adjusted the temperature in one motion.
Note, these are minor annoyances, and should not detract from a very good product at a value price.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Controls require extra hand movement

We installed this stovetop in 2/20. For the most part it has met our expectations except in 2 areas. First off, every time you wish to turn ON a burner, change temperature etc. you are required to tap 2 different locations on the stovetop. Turning ON a burner when the stovetop is OFF requires 3 different taps of the controls. This may not sound like a big deal but electronics should be making our lives simpler, easier and less time consuming. These controls take us backwards. Our old stovetop had knobs and you just turn the knob to the setting you wanted. Very simple. Not with this stovetop. This is very annoying. Now I know LG will tell you this is part of their safety features to prevent children from turning on the stovetop. But we don't need this feature as we don't have kids at home. LG could have provided a switch to bypass these safety features. The 2nd thing we noticed is the ceramic top has air bubbles in it. Very strange. Not sure what's going on here and tried to get the store I bought it from to swap my unit out with one that does not have this problem. Black ceramic stovetops of other brands I have seen in stores do not have these air bubbles in them. Shortly after the stovetop installation in 2/20 I asked the store to replace it with one without bubbles. They agreed and said they placed a replacement order. But here it is 5/20 and nothing has happened.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
