Controls require extra hand movement

We installed this stovetop in 2/20. For the most part it has met our expectations except in 2 areas. First off, every time you wish to turn ON a burner, change temperature etc. you are required to tap 2 different locations on the stovetop. Turning ON a burner when the stovetop is OFF requires 3 different taps of the controls. This may not sound like a big deal but electronics should be making our lives simpler, easier and less time consuming. These controls take us backwards. Our old stovetop had knobs and you just turn the knob to the setting you wanted. Very simple. Not with this stovetop. This is very annoying. Now I know LG will tell you this is part of their safety features to prevent children from turning on the stovetop. But we don't need this feature as we don't have kids at home. LG could have provided a switch to bypass these safety features. The 2nd thing we noticed is the ceramic top has air bubbles in it. Very strange. Not sure what's going on here and tried to get the store I bought it from to swap my unit out with one that does not have this problem. Black ceramic stovetops of other brands I have seen in stores do not have these air bubbles in them. Shortly after the stovetop installation in 2/20 I asked the store to replace it with one without bubbles. They agreed and said they placed a replacement order. But here it is 5/20 and nothing has happened.

Installation was quick and professional. Touch pads are much more friendly than some reviewers have reported. Steady heating is terriffic.

New cooktop entirely pitted

My new cooktop was delivered and installed yesterday (5/28/2020) and today I removed the protective plastic sheet to find the entire cooktop was covered with thousands of pits. They cannot be removed, they are integral to the Schott-Ceran ceramic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It has several burner areas but would rather have had a fifth burner instead of just a warming zone. Also the main on/off area is very sensitive to touch and has gone on w/o my realizing.

Have really enjoyed this cooktop

We've had this cooktop for a month - so far so good. Very easy to clean, I really like the fact that there are no knobs on the surface. It heats up quickly and is logocally setup. It's nice having burners that will fit the size of the pan.

After a brief learning process we find this cooktop to be easy to use and clean. We have only had it for about a month, but if it lasts several years I am sure it would rate 5 stars, until the future arrives, I can only rate it 4 stars for now.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only used once so far, but I'm pleased. Fit perfect in my counter where the old unit was.

LG LCE3010 COOKTOP

After a log wait LG LCE3010 cooktop was delivered on October 4 th. Eversince it was delivered Power On/Off button has been tempramental. Sometimes once touched it's on. Sometimes it does not come on, sometimes once press hard, it comes on etc. When it does not come on, circuit breaker has to be turned off and on to get it back on. Electrician checked it thoroughly and power is coming up to junction box that feeds the cooktop. This has been a very frustrating experience. i built a new kitchen. LG oven and microwave are still backorderd. Without a functioning cooktop, kitchen is not functional.
