[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this cooktop locally, it was installed on June 27 and was used 3 times when it completely shut down in the middle of cooking dinner (June29)! It has not worked since. The Repair Tech came out and decided it needs a new circuit board ... which was ordered and due in on July 8 ... they plan on installing it July 11. We have had to eat out or find other methods of cooking for the past several weeks .... I would not recommend purchasing one of these cooktops. I have looked at the on-line reviews and have noticed that the same problem has been occurring with this cooktop for the past 2 years. You would think that LG would have looked into correcting the problem, long ago!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] During a kitchen remodel we selected this LG model after researching all the different brands, models, and features. We hit a home run with this new LG. We love the touch control (no knobs) feature. It gives our new granite counter top a very rich and fashionable look. The glass top unit that was replaced had knobs but the new LG's touch control was very easy for us to adapt to. After a month of ownership, we are extremely pleased.

Touch will quit working!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second one of these stoves. Our last one lasted for 5 years before the touch quit working. Then we bought a replacement. Now the replacements touch buttons has also quit working. Looking through the reviews i am not the only one with this issue. I would have hope the new cooktop would have had upgraded boards to fix the issue but it is not the case. the new stove was manufactured in late 2019 and the issue is still there. I will not buy another LG cook top. This is too bad because all my appliances and even my tv is LG.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Cooktop

Horrible cooktop stay away from this item. I have it for 10 months and it’s the 4th time it broke down.

do not buy- faulty product

I purchased this 1 year ago and it stopped working entirely. After reading other reviews on this prodcut from the store I purchased it at, seems like we are not the only unfortunate people who are having this problem. There is an issue with the electronics to turn on this appliance. I've gone through all of the trouble shooting suggestions, called the support line and I can't even get a repair person to come and look at it. Now I'm left without a stove. I expected better quality from LG. This is extremely disappointing.

This is our first LG product and I am wondering why we waited so long. We also purchased the LG combination microwave and wall oven. I just finished cooking breakfast on the LG cooktop and it couldn’t have been easier. It heats up fast, is very easy to use and very safe. Having very young grandchildren, being very safe from inquiring little minds is extremely important to us.

My new LG cooktop was easy to install and manufacturer's directions for operation and care easy to understand. Preparing fine meals on this superior appliance is a pleasure. The touch controls are responsive, radiant heat fast and I especially like the safety features. It is virtually impossible to forget to "turn off your cooktop"....that is just one of the many fine features LG offers in this cooktop. Cleanup is easy! My cooktop looks as good as it did the day it arrived..brand new! I heartily recommend this product to everyone.
