Not designed to fit a 30" Cabinet?
on November 2, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While my new cook-top works great, installation was closer to a nightmare than a dream. It's called a 30" cook-top because it supposed to fit in a 30" cabinet. But requires an inside minimum dimension of 29-3/8". 30" cabinets are measured on the outside as 30" and the inside dimension is only about 29". The installer had to chip away at least 3/16" of an inch on each side to literally cram this into our cabinet. Plus they have this fan box mounted on the bottom to help cool the electronics, which if anything like our oven, will eventually fry from overheating if we ever were to use all the burners. I actually wish I would have saved money and purchased an old fashioned unit with knobs that doesn't need the stupid fan. Its going to cost a lot for a little aesthetics. It also takes some getting used to to have to first turn it on, select a burner, then select a heat setting. Simply twisting the knob you want was much simpler.

This is definitely not what we expect from our products. I can image how frustrating it is to have to flip the breaker to get the range to come on. Please reach out to us via phone at 1-800-243-0000 or online on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport or Twitter @LGUSSupport so I can gather the necessary information from you to assist you further. ^EJ

Worst stovetop that we've owned.
on September 8, 2019

The touch controls of this stovetop were an interesting feature when we purchased it but have been a constant source of annoyance ever since. In the year we’ve owned this stovetop, the controls have started blinking randomly or have stopped responding at all on a number of occasions. We had to reset the breaker each time to fix it.
Additionally, if you happen to inadvertently slide a pan over any part of the control area, all the controls will start blinking and beeping, causing further annoyance.
Lastly, when purchasing we had no idea that the stovetop controls included tones that sound whenever you turn a burner on or off or perform other functions. We soon learned to hate the tones but there is no way to mute them. Some people may love them but we prefer a stovetop that doesn’t talk back.

LG Stovetop survey I am a fan of LG products and I refused to purchase another brand when I purchased this stovetop. As much as I am a fan, I am disappointed particularly because the stovetop has malfunctioned on numerous occasions. The malfunction was that the touch buttons would not work. I couldn't turn either of the burners low nor could I turn the burners off. I had to turn the breaker off in order to get it to turn off. Additionally, the outline of the burners and the characters should be non-removable. After continued use, it rubs off. Needs more color code for quick figuring and referencing. I'm having to do a service request already and I only had it for 8-9 months

Cooking on a hot plate

I was forced to buy a hot plate to cook on. What does that tell you about the quality of your product? Our cooktop worked for two weeks. Part is on back order.

Love this cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a house six years ago with appliances that were 20+years old. We live in a 55+ community so folks don’t do much cooking; however, I love to cook and used my appliances a lot! I thought my old cooktop was fine until I got my new LG cooktop a month ago. Wow! The difference is amazing. It cooks so much quicker and hotter than my other one. I love the dual and triple burners, along with the bridge that allowed me to make gravy in my large roasting pan at Thanksgiving. Easy to clean, gorgeous and efficient. Thanks, LG! I love it!

I’ve had the stovetop for over 4 yrs and we had experienced that the burners cooked differently at the same setting. The chrome piece at the front scratches very easily. Really need to watch touching the panel while cooking because they could turn on.
