Too tired to play

Bought this player yesterday. Watched 1 movie last night. Worked fine. Tried watching 2 different movies today. The DVD stopped playing several times. Each time we would have to Open; wait; and finally play. Sometimes it would start and other times it would not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I AM NOT AN EXPERIENCED ELECTRONICS DUDE, I'M A USER ONLY. I COULDN'T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN A MONTH, A 24 X 20 SHEET CHOCK FULL OF INSTRUCTIONS THAT SO FAR HAVEN'T HELPED ME GET THE DVD TO RESPOND, EXCEPT FOR THE YELLOW LIGHT THAT COMES ON WHEN I HIT THE POWER BUTTON AND THE OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON. WHERE CAN I FIND INSTRUCTIONS THAT USE LAYMAN LANGUAGE STEP 1,2,3 ETC TO GET THIS THING WORKING?

I bought this a month ago for my garage t.v.
I liked the resume feature the most about it. It's not 4K, but that's fine for my work area.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dang thing sucks!

I needed to replace my Panasonic that I had for over 10 years. Bought this one, hooked it up, turned it on........picture was fuzzy, set up was extremely confusing, instructions didn't help---AND ALL MY MOVIES WERE PLAYED IN BLACK AND WHITE!! No Color! OH wait, I need to go buy a special HDMI cord that was not in the box--screw that--took it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Won't Play Some of My DVD's

I got this for Christmas, and the first DVD I tried to play resulted in a message saying that Playing was Prohibited because of the DVD being out of area!

We have only used our Sony DVD in a motor home a few times. Now the remote does not work. I have tried everything, including a replacement universal remote. Still the remote feature does not work at all.
