Nonsense region restrictions

My wife bought a beloved movie title we both enjoyed as children and were looking forward to seeing it together. Despite being an all region disc, the player refused to play, citing location restrictions. Sad!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the DVD player for my grand daughter to watch in our spare bedroom when she comes over. Last week she stayed in that room for the first time, she never slept in that room before. She said that she wanted to because of the new DVD player, she had a great time in that room watching the DVD and when I told her that the unit also played CD's she went wild ! She loves to listen to Carrie Underwood. We could not get her out of that bedroom, for over a year or more we wanted her to sleep in one of our two spare bedroom but she wouldn't. She is 5 years old and after last weekend she now wants to come over and stay in the bedroom with the new Sony DVD / CD player. Feels great !!

Good quality picture and sound. Only RCA cable was included this is standard so you have to purchase your own HDMI cable. It’s a plug and play equipment easy installation.

I got this DVD player so that I can watch my DVDs on my HDTV instead of on my laptop. It was easy to connect it via HDMI cable to the TV. It works perfectly for me since I only plan to us it to watch DVDs and nothing else. I also like its compact size since I live in a small apartment and space is at a premium.
