Horrible washer
on January 16, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer has been awful from the beginning. It goes unbalanced all the time, filling, draining and filling again with water trying to balance itself. I can't understand how it received an energy star rating. It sucks more energy and wastes more water than if I let the shower run all day long! This happens with small and large loads. There should be negative star options. I have no idea how consumer reports rated this so high. I can't explain enough how much I loath this washer. Will never buy another LG appliance!

Disappointing

This washer looks nice and has fancy features but does not function well. It is very loud and constantly says the load is uneven. It also does nit clean well. I am very disappointed. It was my first LG purchase and LG did not meet my expectations. Wish I had kept my 12 year old washer that performed great but just didn't look as pretty. Bottom line... Don't be fooled by looks.

Worst Washer Ever!
on October 28, 2014

I have had this washing machine for 2 years and it is the worst ever! Since I bought it, the machine unbalances itself even when items of like weight are in the machine and it uses gallons of water (and lots of time) to rebalance or it will not spin. My husband is tired of my frustration every time that I do a load of wash. LG sent someone out to put in a new mother board but now it will not spin enough to remove all the water. This causes more time in the dryer. UGH! I am giving up and selling this washer and getting a new one( It will not be LG!)

This is like the Range Rover of Washing Machines!!

My old washer completely pulled a fast one on me last week. The water just started running out onto the floor and pooling. It was just too far gone to be fixed. My dear hubby showed up with this one in the bed of his truck. Assuming it was just a plain old washer, I wasn't too excited .. I asked for one without an agitator and one that I did not have to bend over to unload. I am tired of my undershirts with adjustable straps getting caught under the agitator and twisting up and ruining . Anyway, I went out to look and this bad boy was in the back of his truck and I was in shock. It is so fabulous. You do not have to set the water level because it swirls the clothes around and calls it "sensing". Then it does the water and spray. The clear lid has had me mesemerized for days... I am stuck staring at this futuristic machine . At first I was a bit intimidated, like omg I cannot operate this thing, but it is easy. It also plays a song when it is done. My dryer was purchased last year and is regular size. The salesman told my dh that it wouldn't matter because this will spin them until almost dry anyway... He was right! Dry times already shorter. My only peeve is that it takes longer to wash a load than my old one did and even the short run is 38 min. But, hey at least my clothes are actually clean now.. not just beat up by the agitator. Love it. Love the 10 yr warranty.. I wanted a new Louis bag for Mothers Day but it could never have brought me the happiness that this mother did!! Run to buy one!!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Ok. Not what I exected

I have had several experiences with the washer stoppping because of uneven loads. I do not overload it just seems it doesn't like bed linens. Almost every time I wash my bed linens it stops because of uneven load.

Does NOT clean clothes!
on April 23, 2015

Clothes go in dirty, come out dirty. Literally they look just as stained and crumby and they did in the hamper. Three kids and a dog here, and lots of laundry. I find myself sniffing each item as i fold it, thinking it must have gotten in the clean pile by accident, because it couldn't possibly have gone through the machine! Tried many different detergents too. Just a bad machine.
Also, the unbalanced thing is a real problem. Can't do a load with towels or coats or blankets without rearranging everything several times. Can take all day! Super frustrating.

Worst appliance I have ever owned.

Give me my center agitator back. This machine is a giant soaking bathing machine. If you have one spec of dirt on your clothing be prepared to wash it by hand. Also, don't do a small load because it will take all day being out of balance. It should not be called a washing machine because it does not wash, it barely soaks the clothing if you can get enough water in it to cover all the clothes.

Unbalanced Garbage
on May 28, 2018

Will NOT finish most loads. No matter how balanced a load is at start, it becomes unbalanced and stops with a tone that we've grown to have a special hatred for in this house. On top of this, the washer wastes so much time twitching and simply waiting, not doing anything. Could cut way down on wash time if this unnecessary "sensing" was removed.
