Not a happy camper

I purchased both the washer and dryer in Dec of 2012, and here in Aug of 2014, the washer doesn't work. The lights come on, but nobody is home. The tub will not spin, and it's looking like it's not covered even though we bought a 4 year maintenance agreement, so we get to pay out of pocket to fix it, if we can even find a repair tech within 100 miles of where we live.
Before that, our other issue was that it was constantly getting off kilter, and you would come back thinking the load was done, and nope, it was sitting there looking stupid with an error message. Out of 5 loads, 3 would screw up, and it would even do it with just sheets and pillow cases in the tub, not just heavy loads. So, when doing laundry, we would have to stay close by to shuffle things around so that it didn't take all day to get 4 loads finished. It might be cheaper to just buy a new washer, and if we do, we will not be going with LG again. Life is not Good when you spend so much money on what you think will be a good product and it ends up being worse than the junk you were replacing. Thoroughly disappointed!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of options

We have only had for a month, so we are still learning how to take advantage of the options. I'm still not convenience the cleaning power with this new technology is what they say.........won't know until more time passes. It is very stylish and I do enjoy the many features.

We've had this washer for a couple of months, and it does really large loads of laundry and is really quiet while doing it.

Love the control panel

The overall appearance of the washer is a look of quality. It is very quiet. My clothes dry so much faster than before because the spin cycle does such a good job. I really enjoy using the washer. The only feature that I am not 100% pleased with is the pull out detergent holder. It is inconvenient to have to remove the liquid detergent tray in order to use the powder detergent tray. And the pullout tray doesn't dry out well between loads. That leaves potential for mold. Other than that, I like the washer a lot.

Signals too low

Two complaints on this washer:
1 - I have a 2-story house. When I am on the other floor, I cannot hear that musical signal that the load is done. I have it set as high as it will go. The signal needs to be louder so you can hear it on another floor.
2 - When the load becomes uneven, I hear no sound or warning that it is uneven. Thus the load keeps on going and going. You expect to find you wash finished but it keeps adding water and spinning until you realize it wasting time and money.
