A great value

I bought my washer six weeks ago. I would give it an excellent rating in every category but I don't have the information regarding long-term usage. If the washer is performing at the levels it is doing as a new washer in five years I will submit another review. I have read other reviews regarding this product and I would like to address the complaints concerning the washer's ability to get the clothes clean. The washer has all the features necessary to get clothes clean but there is very little that can be done about the condition of the water. Hard water is detrimental and it leaves a residue that causes odors and makes the soap stick to the clothes. The other complaint was the mushroom effect that happens after the spin cycle. One of the excellent features of this washer is that it attempts to redistribute the clothes before it begins a cycle. Unfortunately if there is a heavy load it can't do it alone. It's important to place the clothes as much as possible away from the center of the drum. Also, it is important not to use too much soap in the HE models. If hard water is used it's tempting but it will only cause long-term problems with the washer. If possible get a water conditioner if you are going to buy a HE washer.

I HATE this washer!

I have had this washer for 2 months now and keep hoping that I will start to like it, but not yet.
Whenever I do a load of black clothes they come out with white spots, almost like the soap didn't get absorbed. With so little water the clothes do not seem to be clean. I also do not like the fact that the lid locks and you can't open it to add that stray sock that you find on the floor.

We purchased this product to replace our 7 year old whirlpool washer. This is our 1st Lg appliance product and we have been more than happy with it so far.This washer has so many features we like including the "no slam" lid! It handles large loads of laundry with no problem. And does a excellent job of washing our clothes and has saved us so many $$ on laundry detergent in the past 5 months we have owned it. We would highly recommend this washer to anyone.

Sleek and Efficient

Washer is a good size and has a very modern look. It washes efficiently with little interaction.
The only potential downside is that the washer uses additional water to re-balance any bulky loads. For those that are on a water budget or well with water use limitations it could increase the water consumption based on how often you use it for very bulky items, as this machine does have a fairly large capacity.

Best washer we have ever owned.

Load it, push a few buttons, and forget it. Had it for months now, only once did we have an issue with a load being unbalanced. Took less than a minute to correct. Did have one question about the operation, real person customer support was prompt and accurate. This washer is everything it says it is, and more.

Product is great. I can fit a queen size comforter in it with no problem. Great water saver. My laundry has never looked better. Enough settings for all my things.

This washer doesn't get my clothes clean. I find myself rewashing clothes all the time.
Water pools in detergent dispenser and bleach dispenser. The perfect recipe for mold. I will end up removing the detergent and softener tray permanently, but I'm stuck with the bleach tray, which always has water in it.
I needed a new dryer and bought the set. Love the dryer, but would love to have my crummy old washer back as well as my clean clothes.

I purchased this washer over 3 years ago and I ABSOLUTLEY love it. Please remember - it is High Efficacy - Therefore, if you are a farmer or a farmer's wife - use the SOAK feature to remove grease, mud, grass stains, and any other alien matter! LOL! It took me a few times to figure this out, but it is well worth it!
