Washer is working great

It's my 1st HE washer that I have used. What bothers me is that I need to do the trick the machine to get enough water to cover the cloths. Otherwise it doesn't seem to really clean them ands leaves stains or smuges. Also you can't really clean a small load otherwise it becomes off balance. No gentle cycle on this machine either for some reason.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

Overall, a good washer

Overall this washer performs much better than our last FL washing machine. I bought it for the soak and extra water features (our old washer never seemed to clean gym clothes or cloth diapers very well) and both have been great. As others mention, the wash times can get really long, especially when you add extra water, rinses or fabric softeners. I haven't noticed much of a difference between any of the preset washes and usually just start with the cotton wash or speed wash and adjust based on what I've included in the load. The washer can EASILY become off balanced and does so whenever I wash our towels and our queen sheets together (honestly, it's every time!). Our washer is perfectly balanced, so that's not the issue. It does OK with large loads of clothing, but with anything bulky you have to sit there to readjust the load before each spin cycle.

Clothes don't get clean

I don't know about you, but I put clean clothes before water efficiency. I have had several clothing articles come out as dirty as they went in. These high efficiency machines aren't using enough water to clean clothes! I do like the large capacity. However, I find that I have to open the lid in the midst of the cycle to get the machine to default to using some water to wash clothes! (Defaults water level to a full load.) In addition, hot water isn't even hot! Only two settings get you hot water (bright whites and clean the tub). Another tip ... don't use liquid detergent. With the cool water temperatures, it doesn't break down...use powder else your whites become gray from poor rinsing. This is my second HE machine, and I still am not satisfied. What's it take to get a machine that cleans! (P.S. I do like the dryer, however.)

I am so disappointed with the job this washer does cleaning items. It does very well on item with little stain but really dirty items, it does an awful job of getting out dirt.
Also not happy about not having a real cycle for gentle/hand wash.
I would not recommend this washer because it really does not clean items very well.

i purchased this washer because my prior washer needed a new motor and i read the reviews on lg. let me tell you i am very sorry i purchased this washer, wish i could have my prior one back, at least it cleaned the
clothes. almost every load i wash goes unbalanced,no matter the size and objects, not just one time, many times throughout the cycle, it can take 4+ hours for one load, what a waste, also wash time approx. 10-12 min, rinse time 40 min., probably why the clothes are not clean, i have to wash same load 2-3 times and then still not clean, by the way how is this saving money? also no delicate cycle, but it does have a wool cycle, really, who washes wool? had a service person come 2 times, said nothing was wrong, kept bragging about the rinse speed, who cares about the speed if it does not CLEAN the clothes. cannot wash tennis shoes or rugs with rubber backs. very disappointed. looking for a new machine.

This washer looks nice, and has a beautiful glass top to see what is happening inside. It decides for itself how much water it needs to wash the clothes so you don't need to tell it anything about water level. It has many different cycles you can choose. It has a really large basket so, as the instructions indicate, it can do one whole blanket on the bedding cycle; truly amazing! The washer tells you how long each load will take once the washer is filled with water. For a normal load this hard-working washer will try to clean your clothes in about 40 minutes. This also does not include the filling time for the rinse water. So your family laundry can easily be done in a day! Truly a wonderful washing machine. What an amazing new technology!
