Awsome phone

I got this phone because one of my freinds at school showed it to me. I always turned my head to some other phone other than a i phone but once i seen the galaxy s5 i had to have one. The display is one of the best i have ever seen on a phone it is stunning i never use that word but when i use this phone that is the word that pops into my head to describe it. The phone is really fast not to much faster than my last phone that was a i phone 5,but the galaxy s5 is faster in most ways and in some ways the i phone 5 is faster. One of the best things about the galaxy s5 is the battery life. I use my phone pretty heavy throughout the day and i never have to worry about my phone dying. If you are switching from a Iphone to a galaxy it will be confusing at one to get the hang of the phone but after about a week i found it alot easier to use than my old I phone.
i hope this helps you decide.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, battery is alsome, fast
Cons: slow on some apps

Blown Away

My trepidation about switching from the iPhone was put to rest even before I got out of the AT&T store. This is such an amazingly advanced and sophisticated device that I feel like I am not holding a telephone, but an actual piece of the future. Texting is super easy and the messages are highly readable. The call quality is tremendous, and the voices of my friends sound so much more realistic than those electronic-sounding iPhone calls. The Galaxy S 5 is beyond a simple telephone, it is amazing.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, sound quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Simply Amazing

I've been a Samsung Fan ever since purchasing the Note 2 (which is still working to this day, I gave it to my sister to replace her S3 that got broken). I have to admit, when I saw that Samsung was releasing a Windows 10 Tablet, I had many doubts. But this machine quickly exceeded my expectations in typical Samsung fashion. From the moment I turned it on until now, there hasn't been any problems, it simply performs flawlessly. From gaming to work applications to video streaming, it's simply amazing. The only thing I miss is my S-Pen. A 4G connection would probably bring more customers, but since I always have my Note 4 handy and it's a mobile hotspot, I don't really see the need for a separate internet connection (which would just be one more battery draining device in the tablet anyway). Battery life is good except when I'm gaming and even then it's comparable to gaming on my Note 10.1 and Tab S. Charging is extremely fast, using my car charger I can go from 30% to about 80-90% charge during my 1 hour commute to work. The only frustrating thing I can say about this tablet is that there is no Scroll Bar Function on the touchpad, you actually have to move the mouse pointer to the scroll bar and repeated click on the scroll arrows in the application.
Great Job, Samsung!
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: no s-pen, no scroll bar on the touchpad

I AM IMPRESSED

I had the S2 Skyrocket, 2 years old and working just fine. I read about the S5 and had to see it and feel it in person. I was a bit hesitant to go for the S5 because of its larger size than my S2 Skyrocket..... However, after seeing the screen and feeling in my hand how slim and sleek it was I decided to get it. I made a good decision. The S5 is amazing is many ways. The screen is brilliant and bright, processor is super fast. The camera is sharp and takes terrific close up pics. The battery life is VERY impressive. My S2 Skyrocket would usually get down to 20% after 7-8 hrs. The S5 was still at 60% after 7-8 hrs of even heavier usage. So far I have not had to charge it at all during the day. It lasts all day long.. ! (happy face).. I've only had it a few days and still learning stuff with it. Being waterproof to a degree is a great feature. I was shocked when I saw the Samsung instructional video of rinsing the phone under running water... WHOA ! Overall I would give it a 9/10.... I would give it a full 10 if it came with QI charging and charging pad, which at current is a separate purchase.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, long battery life, fast processor, sharp and detailed camera
Cons: should come standard with qi charging readiness.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Galaxy S5 Stunning piece of art

Compare to S4 it has better camera, a brighter screen, a faster processor and a more solid design. The other big deal is that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is waterproof and dustproof to an IP67 rating, which means it's almost completely resistant to dust and waterproof to a depth of 1m for 30 minutes.
Samsung also introduced two new launch colors, including Copper Gold & Electric Blue and a brand new perforated design for the rear cover. It has rounded edges, the same steep sides with shiny and ridged silvery trim, and a slightly more rounded central home button shape to the S4's more rectangular outline.
S5 also has a fingerprint scanner, and a heart rate sensor, too, not to mention Android 4.4 KitKat and a roster of muscular specs.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big

Perfect tablet for me.

I've had my new tablet for about 2 weeks now and I have to say that it is everything I thought it would be from what I read in the specs and reviews. It absolutely replaced my laptop, which was 5 1/2 years old. So if you're coming from an older laptop like me you're probably gonna be pleasantly surprised with the performance of this tablet.
Performance. I don't consider myself a "power user" or anything like that. When I read reviews from people who have 10+ tabs in Chrome open with a dozen other programs running all at once I wonder how they keep track of everything. I use my computer mostly for Photoshop, Autocad LT and entertainment with some light word processing, spreadsheets and gaming. The most I have open at one time is an 11x17 Photoshop file, 300-600 dpi with 5-10 layers, probably 2 tabs in Edge and Windows Media Player for music OR Autocad LT with 2-3 files open, a couple tabs in Edge, Windows Media Player for music, an Excel spreadsheet and notepad. So far I am totally satisfied with the performance of the tablet. There hasn't been any slowdown at all or skipping of music while doing stuff in Photoshop or Autocad. I'm really looking forward to getting the pen so I can try that out in photoshop too.
The screen. Everyone was right, the screen is amazing. For movies and games it's fantastic. The dimming every minute or two was annoying at first but I don't mind it anymore. I never notice it while I'm working or gaming becuase I'm always giving some kind of input. It doesn't do it while watching movies thankfully. The screen seems like it can get very bright to me. I work indoors during the day with it at about 50% brightness and that works great for me. Watching movies at night while my wife is sleeping I turn it all the way down and it's not bright enough to wake her up like my laptop was which is nice.
The speakers are surprisingly loud which is nice. I usually listen to them at about 70% while I'm working and that seems pretty good as long as you have the volume in WMP turned all the way up too. I'm not saying that they're the best speakers ever but I was not expecting them to sound as good as they do.
The keyboard does take some getting used to but I'm coming off of an 11" laptop and an ATIV 500t so I'm pretty used to smaller keyboards. I'll just throw this in here, I'm 6'3" and my hands are probably more on the large size and I'm able to type on the keyboard with few mistakes. Most of them are because the layout is a little different from my laptop so when I go to use backspace I hit the = key instead or every once in a while I will hit two keys at once. I have yet to accidentally touch the screen while reaching for the top buttons. There are only two viewing angles with the keyboard cover but I've found that they're just about right for every place I've had to use my tablet. One thing I will note is that you might want to be a little careful if you're picking up the device from underneath the keyboard, it gave me a scare when if felt like the tablet was going to fall over backward. So just keep a hand on the tablet when you lift and you should be fine. The fact that it's not backlight doesn't really bother me either. It would be a nice feature but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. There is a little light on the Caps Lock button to remind you that it's on though, which is nice. The trackpad is a little funky in my opinion. Not that it doesn't work well, it's just that it's not very tall but kinda wide so when I go for a right click with it I end up just left clicking because I didn't reach over far enough. Other than that it's got good feel and nice clicking when you hit the buttons. I only have a Galaxy S5 so I can't make us of or comment on Samsung Flow.
As far as only having the one USB-C port, I don't mind it that much. I already had a bluetooth mouse so I don't need a usb port for that. I bought a cheap ($9.99) USB-C to USB adapter when I bought the tablet so I can access all my stuff on my external hard drive and since the battery lasts so long there has only been one time where I wanted to grab something off the drive but I was charging.
Storage. Yeah it only has 128GB but I have everything I need on it with a game I don't actually "need" and I still have like 28GB free. Like I said before, I don't consider myself a power user though. Also I'm starting to use cloud storage a little more after I lost some data and forgot to back it up so that helps too. Would it be nice if they put a MicroSD card slot on this thing? Yeah, of course. Do I think there's plenty of room for one on this thing? Yeah, of course. But I also read specs and reviews before I spend my hard earned cash on stuff so I knew what I was getting into.
Battery life. When I work I'm always near an outlet but I've been trying to not plug in so I can test this out. I don't have exact hours but I use it for work most of the day, it's not on all the time, it turns off when I take breaks or am on a long phone call and I don't ever have to plug it in until later in the evening. So it has to have some pretty awesome battery life
Just a note on gaming if anyone is interested, it scored a 2653 on the FFXIV Heavensward benchmark with standard laptop settings, 1366x768 resolution which look pretty darn good still. There were some spots where it got kinda choppy but it ran pretty darn well. Actually I tried it again in a cooler environment and it scored around 3400 with these settings. I guess my warm apartment was effecting it. It scored just a little over 1000 on standard laptop settings with native resolution. Likewise, it plays SWTOR on low settings flawlessly and on medium with some slight chop but I still play it on medium. I don't have FFXIV to actually play so I can't comment on how well it runs with actual gameplay.
PROBLEMS
So for I've only had one problem with my new tablet. For some reason the bluetooth is on the fritz. It works for a while and then completely dissappears from my computer, doesn't show up in settings or in the device manager. Just, gone.... I chatted with Samsung help and they were able to fix it by downloading the driver from the Samsung Update program and reinstalling it but a couple hours later the same thing happened. So now a few times a day it drops out and I have to spend time deleting drivers and installing drivers trying to get it to show back up. I assume this is a driver problem but what do I know. I'm working with Samsung to try and get if figured out and as soon as it's fixed I will happily give this tablet a 5 star rating.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, comes with keyboard cover, amoled screen is awesome, surprisingly loud speakers, fast charging is nice, thin
Cons: having bluetooth problems, microsd slot would be nice

This is my second S5 and I love it. The S7 and S8 are nice, but I like to be able to remove the battery. This one does enough for me, and I love the camera.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive, camera
