Good Fridge but quite noise

The fridge works its purpose. It's a bit small for a full family which is making us rethink our purchase but it does a good job. The one thing i can say that i'm not happy about is the noise level coming out of this small thing. We used to have a 26 cubic feet refrigerator and it made almost no noise compared to this one. It ranges from a humming noise to this annoying ZZZZZ in ur ear that emits through the house. GE should really do something to try and alleviate this problem .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I LOVE THE REFRIGERATOR. I FIND THE FREEZER TO BE LARGE ENOUGH IF IT WASN'T FOR THE WAY THE ICE MAKERS HUGE CONTAINER TO CATCH ICE TAKES UP SO MUCH ROOM. IT DOESN'T MAXIMIZE THE SPACE AND MAKES FOR AN "L" TYPE RACK ABOVE THE ICE MAKER THAT DOESN'T ALLOW MUCH STORAGE. THE FRIG I HAD BEFORE IS ALMOST IDENTICAL BUT THE ICE BUCKET WAS LONG AND SLENDER ALLOWING A FULL RACK ABOVE. I HAVE PUT SOMETHING SMALLER THAN THE BIG BOX TO CATCH THE ICE BUT WITHOUT A STRAIGHT ACROSS RACK SPACE IS LIMITED. FOR A FAMILY THIS WOULD NOT BE A GOOD CHOICE.

What I wanted

It is the size I need as a single person. More than enough room. I can tell by the frequency of it running that it will save me money over my old fridge. Pleased with the value. Now, if it will last the twenty one years my previous GE fridge did, I ought naught have to worry about purchasing another one!
