[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have now had to buy our second LG LMV1683ST. We purchased one in 2013 that ceased functioning early this year.
We bought another even though we were so unhappy with the longevity of the first one (as the cabinets were already drilled for this model and it was easier to install). Hopefully the new one won't die so quickly.
While it looks nice I can't give a product that dies in 3 years anything more than 2 stars.
Also, it is worth noting that if anything ever happens to this unit it will cost more money for a service call to attempt to repair the old one than it would to simply buy a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good value microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this one to replace a failed microwave and match the LG french door fridge we love. Works great and great price. Two disappointments: the vent fan is terribly loud and this oven does not have a timer, which we loved on the old one. But we'd buy it again. We are converting most of our alliances to LG.

Nice microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace a 20 year old microwave, this fit right into the spot and looks nice. It functions fine, the only downer is that there is no timer on it.

Where is the timer?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the microwave. Looks really good! But I really do not like that it doesn't have a timer on it! I would never buy it or recommend it to a friend for that reason. I honestly didn't notice it when we bought it. I guess I assumed that all microwaves had timers on them. One of the features I used all the time in the past!

Great microwave

Our microwave was dying and after the new one was installed I wish I would have bought it sooner!. I have never had this month convenience and power with a microwave. Truly an A+ It is easy to use and works great!

fan broke just after warranty was up.

The fan stopped working just after the warranty expired. It will only go on when the microwave is on. Otherwise it won't turn on to filter smoke from the oven & stove.

Poor quality
