The microwave has a nice sleek look

I recommend the LG microwave but with the following three alerts:
1. The noise levels of the ventilation system are excessive. Additionally, there is a continuous high pitched whistle.
2. There is only one brightness level on the work light which is not sufficient.
3. There is no timer for stove top cooking.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, craftmanship marginal

Good Value for what we need

Overall we are happy with the microwave and the features. For what we use a microwave for this fits our needs.
A couple issues we noticed after we used it a few times.
1. We were use to having a kitchen timer on our microwave, where it is not offered on this model.
2. The biggest issue is the exhaust fan. Both the low and high settings are very loud and the speed is close to being the same at each selection.

Great Item, missing a Feature!

I love this microwave, bought it after my 1998 died. I liked the idea of the warming rack, though don't use as much as hoped.
DOWNSIDES:
Display is numeric only so no prompts to "turn over" or anything else for that matter.
No Express Setting (1/2/3/4 minutes) of previous model.
Pizza "Button" : Really and one for melt and soften...ARGH!
There are NO instructions for AM/PM setting of clock and most sadly, there is NO TIMER.
Seriously, the timer SO important...since there is no delay start option, I can't even time my marinade then put into the microwave to start.....sort of the point of a microwave oven.
We checked the manual before we purchased the item in the store, but the item we have, doesn't have the previous mentioned.
UPSIDES:
Much lighter unit than previous unit.
Installation a breeze (with excellent instructions and all hardware options), it's quiet and was a very fair price.

Dead at 10 months

I researched different brands and chose LG because they had good reviews so I feel compelled to warn others of my experience. This was part of a 3 appliance suite we bought in January of 2015. French door Fridge, Range and OTR micro. They replaced 17 year old appliances, the old fridge compressor was thumping so we decided to upgrade. Love the design and look of the appliances BUT micro stopped heating 10/3/15, warranty repair required parts that needed to be ordered and waited until 12/3 to have it finally fixed. As fate would have it the very next day the fridge compressor died and everything defrosted, now waiting for warranty repair again while living out of coolers and buying ice. I don't trust these appliances at all and would never buy again. Two out of three haven't lasted a year!! Now I will be forced to buy the extended warranties and have no faith they will last even 5 years. I'm retired and can't afford to replace major appliances every few years! Whatever happened to quality products?

Great value for the money. It is quite and cooks very well. The only thing missing is an independent timer. I would definatly recommend it to anyone looking for a very good mircowave at a very reasonable price

Easy to use. Two person installation.
Note: When using the vent (we don't vent directly to the outside), it blows right onto the upper cabinets, which cause them to get dirty.

I was looking for a smaller microhood. We only have 11" deep upper cabinets and this one was a bit smaller than many (only 15.5" deep).
Beware the light is ONLY a Night Light. Does not give enough light for cooking. I will have to set something up to have more light! Also the instructions on how to use are very confusing. End up using Timed Cooking and Power Level most often.
