Never knew a Bluray could be improved until I got this player! The up scaling is amazing! The only down side so far is how dark the 4K Bluray's look. The design is absolutely stunning. Other reviews have complained about the remote and I'm not sure why, I absolutely love it being smaller. I hate big bulky remotes with buttons on them that you never use!!

I bought this because I couldn't play my 4K Ultra hd disks on my bluray player. The video is great and the audio is fantastic. I like most of the apps. Overall, this is a great buy and I highly recommend it.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Lightweight

This is a great product. It has many cool features. The only drawback I've found so far is that it overheats fairly quickly and the screen goes pink. Not the biggest deal, it's easy to fix. But for the $$ it shouldn't have that problem. In my humble opinion.

The only thing I see that can be improved is the price coming down. That will happen with competition. Otherwise, the unit was very easy to set up. Make sure the HDMI is matched and that you update the units firmware which is easy to do. I have used to watch 4K, blu-ray upscale and 3D. All worked fine.

Considering this is the only TRUE 4K blu-ray player on the market its difficult to 'compare' it to anything. That said - the picture when paired with my Samsung JS9000 SUHD tv is beyond anything you can imagine. Its less like watching tv and more like looking out the window! The contrast and color delivery via HDR is definitely worth purchasing this player - if you have a 4K television (Samsung or not).
From a design standpoint the look of the unit is terrific. The brushed finish and curved design go quite well with my curved tv and curved soundbar. The dual HDMI ports on the back are an excellent feature. The main HDMI port supports 2.0a which is great - the secondary supports standard HDMI so if your receiver doesn't support 4k you can plug in there for your audio.
This player will play any disk you have - 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, DVD (for anyone that still has those) and even those dinosaur CD's you have lying around your house! The player also streams (which your tv does) but if you want to use your 4K Blu-ray player for streaming - it is compatible with Netflix, YouTube, AmazonVideo, M-Go, and Vudu.
Cons: if you don't have an HDR-cable ... don't bother. In order to get the full 4K effect - you need an HDR cable. Also - the remote is small and can be difficult to use. It is not very intuitive and with no backlighting - the buttons are difficult to find while watching a movie with the lights out.
Overall - this is an OUTSTANDING player. I've give it a solid "A"!
Pros: ourstanding playback, terrific upscaling of standard blu-ray, terrific design, reasonable pricing, quick load time
Cons: below average remote

This product is easy to use, the quality is great, and all the apps make watching what I need to easier. I love Samsung products and this has disappointed me yet. The features are amazing and setups are not complicated. If you are wabeing a 4k device this would be it for you.
