The unit works well and does what it is designed to do. It produces 4k in all its glory, but at an expensive price. I have a 2014 samsung tv that needs an evolution box to use hdr capabilities. I will have 800 dollars spent just to watch 4k movies. The only game in town for true 4k media though.
Pros: good picture
Cons: expensive

This is good if you have a 4k tv. i especially like how you can have two different hdmi ports one dedicated to audio only and one for both.
Pros: Lightweight, 4k picture

Bought a new HDR TV and needed more than streaming with my limited bandwidth. Needless to say this player doesn't disappoint. The two outputs on the back is an awesome feature as it allows this to be used with my passthrough 3d receiver without 4k passthrough. Simple setup the existing HDMI cable from my Blu-ray player to the audio only HDMI then from the video HDMI to the TV. First impression was oh well not to much difference. Then when I took the disc out I realized I had the 1080p regular disc in. Changed it out for the 4k version and wow the colors were way more vivid and the whites were super bright and the blacks were darker so the picture came to life. The movies seemed to jump out of the TV with awesome picture and coupled with the sound made for an unbelievable experience that is a noticeable difference between 1080p and 4k HDR. Would defiantly recommend this to anyone with a HDR set.
Pros: Realistic color

I absolutely love the UBD-K8500 UHD Blu-ray player. The picture is fantastic and the Smart features are excellent. The upscaling of standard Blu-ray discs is excellent and the picture (and sound) with UHD 4K formatting is truly outstanding!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, excellent picture
Cons: a tad bit pricy but isn't all new tech?

The buttons on remote are to small and vague. Overall installing was simple and strieght forward.

I bought this to complement my UHD television. I have nothing but great words to say regarding Samsung products. The audio and video are sometimes out of sync, but it is easily corrected. The price is high and will come down in time as with most tech.
Pros: Lightweight, easy set up

Best UHD 4K Streaming Performance Ever!

This elegant (curved) UHD-BD player/streamer maximizes performance of 9500 55" SUHD (2016). Outperforms the non-Samsung white undulation-curve model UHD DVR (think cable card + subscription service). Would have preferred larger buttons on remote (directional arrows and select easy to miss) with voice navigation. But so far I rate stream clarity and stability above the 2nd generation Cupertino streamer and the Longest-River-on-Planet-Earth-Not-in-Africa streamer.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, easy configuration, super uhd streaming
Cons: tiny remote buttons and no voice control

What an amazing Ultra HD player

I've owned this since release day and have been amazed at it's speed and quality. It loads blu-rays and Ultra HD blu-rays at an incredible speed over previous generations. Menus load instantly. Updates have been frequent and easy to install. The only thing I could live without is purely cosmetic and it's the curved front. Just looks awkward with all my AV equipment. Honestly though, you can't go wrong with this player if you're a videophile or audiophile. The Dolby Atmos sounds unreal, it's hard to describe without hearing it for yourself. I just got the DTS X update, so I can't wait for some content to try.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: curved front
