I have all Samsung products and this 4K Ultra HD Player is great! This goes well with my Samsung 65” Class KS9000 9-Series 4K SUHD TV!

We purchased the 8500 to match a Samsung 4k 50". The clarity of the picture is outstanding. The characters seem to be in the same room.
The on screen menu is strong and complete, easy to use and easy to customize. I use Vudu, Google Play and Flixster for my online TV & Movie purchases, and my Samsung 4k player has setups for each of these accounts allowing instant access to on screen viewing. Again, those movies would look like a million bucks.
The remote is another story. On the positive side the functions are complete and easy to use without looking once you memorize the button layout. However, what is missing would be illumination on the control. At night it would help if the buttons would have some type of back lighting.

Cons: remote not illuminated

In my opinion Samsung is the best out there. Every product and device I have purchased this year has ended up being a Samsung. Since all of the things I have gotten are all firsts I can't really compare it to any other. But when in the electronic store looking at TV's, it had the best picture. The blueray player is pretty cool once I figured out the remote. Which is very slender and touch sensitive. So much nicer than the cheap dvd player that would cut off when you left it paused too long and didn't save your place in the movie... Very happy customer!

I like this product a lot because of the many awesome features like Pandora, YouTube, Netflix, etc . and the ability to play in 4K Ultra HD.

If you spent the money for a 4k UHD tv, you must complete the package with this simple to use, well designed and priced Blu-ray player. Delivers excellent picture quality regardless of original format. Very pleased with this product.
