Although the Officejet 6600 is seemingly designed for home-office use, it performs like a real pro level machine. We are delighted with it's ease of use, endless features and compact footprint. It performs scanning, copying and printing functions that previously required separate machines. We would recommend HP products based on our experience with this unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really like the machine but...

I really like this machine but I had major difficulty using the scanner function. The HP scanner program was not syncing with my Window XP properly. Every time I used the scanner function it would completely crash. After calling HP three times and talked to three different technical reps I finally got it resolved. I am not sure if I will purchase another printer from HP.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great improvement over the 6500 series

The touchscreen feature is easy to use. I have owned two Officejet 6500s and they were noisy and tempermental. The 6600 is quiet and I like the all black look. The only problem that I have not been able to resolve is printing a single envelope. I used to just put the envelope on the right side of the paper tray and it would print. On the 6600 they have a center set up for envelopes but you must remove the paper first. I don't do a lot of envelopes so I can live with this.

Wired, this product is outstanding. Have spent a month unsuccessfully trying to connect by wireless. Problem is likely the settings on DIR-655. They refuse to talk, and have found nothing on the HP site.
Need a settings recommendation!
