Mr. Coffee provides the same coffee taste as far more expensive pots. We like the 4-cup model, because that is just the right amount of coffee for my husband and me each morning. Reheated coffee is a thing of the past at our house. We just make another pot when we need more coffee.

Not as nice as the TF series 4 cup

My old coffee maker was a TF series that I really liked. When I needed a new coffee maker, I could only find the DR series in stores, so I got it. The differently shaped glass pot does not pour as well as the TF series pot. I must pour the coffee very slowly or else it spills right over the little spout and makes a mess. I think the overall shape of the pot and its tiny, shallow spout, are the reason. If this model holds up as well as the TF, I'll have it for 15 years; but next time I'd order the TF from this site if I can't find it in stores.
I switched from Keurig and love Mr Coffee. Better flavor and aroma.

I hate it.

I had a Krups 4-cup drip coffeemaker for almost 10 years before it started to leak. I loved it. But Krups no longer makes 4-cup drip coffeemakers. So I bought the Mr. Coffee DR4. I hate it. First, a Mr. Coffee "cup" is only 5 ounces, smaller than the Krups "cup." The DR4 is so poorly designed, I cannot believe it. The neck of the carafe is so much narrower than the body that you have to turn it completely upside down to pour all the water in, making it very awkward. And to pour all the hot coffee out, again you have the turn it completely upside down. I have burned my hand from the escaping steam. I hate this coffeemaker.

I bought this to replace a TF model whose handle was detaching from the glass decanter - after some years of use. The metal band connecting the handle was at the bottom of the decanter. This DR Series coffeemaker has the metal band at the top so the handle will be more secure. It's an easy to use little coffeemaker and I find it pours perfectly - no problem at all. Easy to clean and the modern lines of the base are a nice change.
