Happy wife, happy life.

A few months ago, my wife had back and neck surgery. The doctor told her that she had to limit her activites and she couldn't vacuum or sweep along with a ton of other limitation. So she told me that I needed to start doing these chores every day, to keep up with all dirt and dog hair that accumulate. I went into panic mode, because my schedule was pretty full with every other task I was having to take on, while she was recovering. So I ran to the store and bought the Roomba 770. Best money I ever spent. I'm amazed at how much dirt and dog hair it picks up everyday. Now, it does get caught up on some small rugs and cords. Just Roomba proof the space. It would take me 30 minutes a day to do the job my Roomba does. So in the last 90 days since I have owned it, I've saved 45 man hours of labor and my wife is happy with the results. If you can afford it, it's money well spent. Of course, now my mother in law has bought one too

Love My Roomba

Our home is filled with quite a bit of white flooring and is very high maintenance. The Roomba makes it possible for me to have the floors swept daily and my floors look fabulous. Only wish it would clean stairs. Still I'm so happy with my Roomba!

Would be great if it didn't get stuck!

I am a busy retired woman who wants to do lots of things before I die besides sweep the floors. I have 100% tile with a couple of area rugs in a 2700sf home. This is not my first irobot, so I was very disappointed when it kept getting stuck under our king size bed. That entails me getting down on my stomach, sliding under, and pulling him out!! It does pet hair much better, holds more dirt, and the battery lasts longer. I think there is a problem with the sensors in this one because he really BANGS into things (sometimes two or three times) before he gives up and goes around. There doesn't seem to be any sensor to prevent him trying to get under places where he doesn't fit, and instead of turning around he just keeps on trying to go forward. Also, iRobot customer service is much less than helpful. I think I'll try the new MINT+.....

Cleans Great - picks up dirt after Dyson

Wow! My kids bought the 770 for my wife and it has truly amazed. We have a very good Dyson and the 770 picks up a lot of dirt even after the Dyson. If the bin were bigger I'd say it is perfect, but it is a little small for a complete cleaning of our great room. Buying another for the bedroom areas tomorrow!

Free At Last

No self-respecting bachelor wants to (or be known to) hoover the house every time the pet hair starts to mat in clumps. Voila! iT, my "Pet Series" Roomba fairly leapt off the shelf into my cart, begging to be put to the test. Me? A Robot owner? Who'd a thunk it? After just a few minutes, iT was programmed to run every morning at 6am, scooting about the house like a dervish while I shower then walk the dog, make coffee and read the headlines. After about an hour, it finds the home base, switches off, and I empty the bin. The first time, there was enough pet hair (short, than the gods) to make a mattress, but now just a small load. The house is big, both hardwood and carpeted floors, all on one floor - iT handles it all well, just takes a little time to get around the whole house - but in a week, it covers everything, including the bedrooms, kitchen, dining, baths, etc. The virtual wall is a great feature - if I want to work in the den, I can exclude it for a day. The big hoover gathers dust in the storage closet, I can almost see tears streaming. It's easy to maintain/clean, the replacement parts are readily available, the filter is effective, and while it make some noise, it isn't as loud as a regular hoover. Only shortcoming so far: Can't make a decent cup of coffee yet, but . . .

"Now we are the Jones!"

1 dog and 1 cat; for the 1st month I schedule Rosie to start at 10am everyday for a good cleaning, next month I will have her clean every other day for normal maintenance. She takes care of the entire house, about once a week she gets stuck under low desk. with ease I empty the container everyday (10 seconds) and the brushes every 4-5 days (3-5 minutes). We are happy with Rosie!

I schedule running every other day. I like that it works on its own and puts itself away. I cannot believe how clean my carpets look and the laminate in my dining and kitchen area are free from invisible cat hair (which I normally pick up with a swiffer). Since I started using Roomba 770 my swiffer pads come up clean. My husband is so impressed he tells everyone about this machine - I am sure he has sold at least a dozen in this past month!! The only problem that I have encountered is there have been a few times when it got stuck under a piece of furniture - however, it turns itself off in these circumstances, which is great. I cannot imagine my life without a Roomba in it!

This roomba handles 1400 square feet of hardwood floors with no issues. Dogs don't like it but theirthe reason I Bought it. Pet hair is gone as well as any dust.
