I love my Roomba! My husband gave it to me for Christmas. Best gift ever. We've had it about 3 months now. I believe houses and furniture will eventually be sold as Roomba ready. Would you think of living without a dishwasher or a washing machine? This is the must have device of the future. We're going to get another one today!

Still In Love with my roomba robot

I've put up reviews before when I first bought Rosey. But I'm still in love with her. I'm a grandmother with two granddaughters that we watch four days a week plus a messy husband. I just push her button and off she goes. I've stopped using my upright vacumn cleaner. The only thing I have done is bought new brush and replaced the yellow things on the side. She frees up my time and keeps the house clean. I liked her so much I bought a floor wet cleaner. Her name is Betty. I put the wet swifter things on her and away she goes. I think she and Rosey must be related. Thank you Roomba Irobot. You've given me a precious thing, more time with my family.

Buy But Beware

Was happy with the ability of the device to clean as advertised. Experienced part failure within 30 days of purchase. Without better warrenty, I will not be purchasing another as original device was returned to place of purchase. Sad to see it go.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Does a good job, Works as advertised
Cons: Prone to failure

Mix Feelings About My Roomba 770

I just got my Roomba 770 a few days ago. The following day, I put it into action, after the battery was fully charged. It was fun to watch it work, but it was a bit noisy. I set it up upstairs, in the loft, where it's all carpet. There are 5 rooms and two restrooms. The Roomba stayed mostly in the loft, and just went for a few minutes to two of the bedrooms. Then, it ran out of battery and I found it near the stairs, sleeping -- It didn't make it to the charging station, which was only 6 feet away from where I found it. It did picked up some dirty, but mostly carpet wool. But, it is a new house, with a new carpet -- only a couple of weeks old. It did cover all of the loft and the stairs landing and hall, but it barely touched any of the bedrooms. Overall, I wasn't so thrill about it. It seems to be able to clean one room only, after about 40 minutes running.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation
Cons: Doesn't Clean All Rooms, Doesn't Come Back Home, Noisy, Small Debris Bin, Stays Mostly In One Room

3 Years and Still Going

We run the roomba about 2 times a week and hardly have any problems and clean floors. I bought it as a gift for my wife 3 years ago and it's still going strong. I would have given the product a 5 but the maintenance required can be troublesome. It should be cleaned every 3 or 4 times it's used but that doesn't necessarily happen. I just spent an hour trying to cut all the hair off the brushes, bearings, side brush and everywhere else hair could collect. Even with the maintenenace, my wife loves it and uses it quite frequently which really reduces the amount of time she spends cleaning the house.

Cons: Frequent Maintenance

REVIEW #2: Roomba 770 HAS BEEN ON THE JOB FOR 2 WEEKS, MY FLOORS ARE SPOTLESS. GUESS WHAT ELSE HAPPENED? YOU DO NOT DUST AS OFTEN. ROOMBA IS AN AID TO CLEANING, IT CAN NOT REPLACE PEOPLE. I FOUND PLENTY OF DUST BUNNIES HIDDEN BEHIND CABINETS AND BEHIND VARIOUS PLACES IT SIMPLY CAN NOT REACH. NO, I DID NOT PULL THE VSCUUM OUT. FROM MY WHEELCHAIR I USED A LONG REACH SWIFFER AND THAT WAS THAT. ROOMBA DID GET STUCK A COUPLE OT TIMES, UNDER THE TABLE AND UNDER MY RECLINER. SO WE RAISED THE TABLE A LITTLE AND I DO NOT RECLINE WHEN ROOMBA IS ON THE PROWL. ROOMBA 770 HAS WORKED SO WELL THAT I PURCHASED ONE FOR MY DAUGHTER, IT WAS DELIVERED ON THE 16TH. SO FAR SHE HAS NOT EXPERIANCED A SINGLE PROBLEM. MY QUESTION NOW IS, HOW LONG WILL ROOMBA OPERATE WITHOUT FAILURE? WILL I GET MY MONEYS WORTH OUT OF IT? "O", I'M SORRY, THAT WAS 2 QUESTIONS. Luv My Rosie Robot!

Let me start by repeating that I love my Robot. That said, there are some drawbacks. I can't stand the erratic cleaning method of running willy nilly then back again. I could never be sure any one room was clean. I solved that problem by placing Rosie in each room till she gets it clean then we move to the next. I would never leave her at home to clean by herself. She does require quite a bit of cleaning maintenance as well. My longer hair tends to get wrapped around the brushes and takes a while to cut loose. The debris bin IS small but considering the size of the Robot I don't see how it could be much bigger. My remote has never worked right so its pretty much useless. I consider most of these things to be minor and overall I have been very happy with my purchase. Rosie has saved me MANY backaches!
