Easy to use but it does not seem to know where it is going. I have another brand that makes sense, has a bigger trash compartment and does a better job. This one is quieter which I like. But it seems to just go this way and that and misses areas. I will not buy another.

i love my irobot roomba 770! you can choose your own cleaning times with a click of a button. you get a remote contol so you have the option to guide your roomba. you get two virtual walls to be a boundry for your roomba. roomba does not fall off ledges so you are safe to put it on a table or second story. spot mode gets a small area for a patch of crumbs. dock mode makes roomba go to its base and self charge so roomba is ready for some more cleaning. i love my roomba and i reccomend get one as soon as possibile

Best Value for Money

A cleaner would charge more in three months just to hoover my floors than this costs to work for a year. It sucks up more pet hair than I can believe (there's a Great Dane reigning over the place), and the open areas of the house are dust-free. It's programmed to hoover every day at 6 am, and generally runs a little more than an hour. The bin is easy to empty, and after the first week, one empty every two days is sufficient. The house has Carpeted bedrooms, tiled baths and wood floors elsewhere, and is pretty big and open. No stairs. Roomba seems right at home, giving full coverage during a week. Sometimes it closes a bathroom or bedroom door with its blundering ways, and I find it expired in the middle of a clean expanse of tile or carpet. But it quickly recovers and is off on its rounds again the following morning. The best part is the general reduction in dust - I only have to dust a quarter of the time as pre-Roomba, and sneezes have become the exception. I still use the main vacuum occasionally to get the spots the Roomba misses, like under smaller chairs and tables, or the dining table where the forest of legs is impenetrable for Roomba. (or drapes & furniture) But that hovering takes just a half hour every fortnight, instead of a couple of hours or more every week. Okay, it gets stuck occasionally under low furniture, and you have to pick up tasseled rugs (or duct tape the tassels underneath) (and keep cords and blind-strings off the floor!), or spend a few minutes untangling it after you find it lifeless - but it recovers nicely once placed safely on the home base. My biggest concern is that it blunders about when it encounters a chair or table leg less than a few inches wide, and hits with such force that it loosens the wood glue and actually moves chairs and small tables about the room when it can't exit the box for a while. I would love to have a Roomba with a more sensitive proximity sensor. Customer service is great, honoring the guarantee with strict and friendly speed. I'm adding a second machine this year, and will keep both operating until one dies and is replaced. The gadgets to keep them confined to a specific area work great, as long as not too close to the home base. I'll keep the two machines part - no need for a litter of little Roombies fighting over charging time! In short, Roomba is an essential part of daily living for me, and saves not only time, but money otherwise paid for a cleaner to come once a week for an extra couple of hours. It's also mesmerizing to watch - much better than most of the drivel on TV.

VERY EASY TO SET UP. DOES ABOUT 950 sq. ft. IN ABOUT AN HOUR, THEN GOES BACK TO HOME BASE. SHE GOT STUCK ONCE, BUT WE HAVE CORRECTED THAT PROBLEM. OUR BENGAL CAT KEEPS A WARY EYE ON "MATILDA" BUT DOESN'T BOTHER HER. ALL IN ALL A VERY GOOD PRODUCT. WISH WE HAD GOTTEN ONE SOONER. WE GOT THE 770 MODEL. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE ROOMBA!
