I'm very impressed

I tried out the 770 just to see if it could at least do the carpet in my office. I spend most of my time there and make a mess on the dark brown carpet. I have four cats so this robot had it's work set out for it. I was so impressed that I expanded it's range to all but my junk room upstairs. I'm considering getting and 880 for the downstairs. For the cons, I really shouldn't say that the bin size is too small. Since you can set the Roomba to run every day, you should just have a 'maintenance' amount of debris in the bin. If the place is particularly messy for whatever reason, I think common sense would tell you to knock down the worst of it with your regular vacuum.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation
Cons: Small Debris Bin

You still need a regular vacuum

I was really disappointed that I still needed a regular vacuum to clean corners, baseboards and the carpeted areas of my home. I do like being able to have it run when I am not home, although it does not perform well in large areas. I have to block off each room and physicially move the Roomba to the next room or it gets confused and runs in a circle. For the price I should have just purchased a regular vacuum.
Pros: Works Independently
Cons: Doen't Clean Corners, Does Not Dock By Itself, Doesnt Work In Large Area, Gets Clogged On Carpet, Gets Stuck In The Bathroo, Gets Stuck Under Chairs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

iRobot a disappointment

I love that it gets under beds and furniture. It moves around pretty easily and collects tons of fur. I have 2 cats and 2 short haired dogs. It is noisy so I run when gone. Every time I come home, I have to hunt for Robie as he is stuck somewhere. Doesn't like black rugs, stops him every time. My husband says he doesn't pick up fur and dirt but the bin is full each time so obviously that works great. He does adjust to some rugs if not black. Not sure worth the money I spent, certainly not hassle free.
Pros: Cleans Under Furniture, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time
Cons: Gets Stuck All The Time, Noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This series doesn't clean across the floos well. It cleans baseboards too often. After about the 5th use the bottom brushes came off.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Inconspicuous Design

Can't live without it

We run our Roomba every other day. As long as we have picked up loose objects, it runs completely independently and parks on its charging station when it's done. It's a lot quieter than a regular vacuum cleaner (about as loud as an average bread machine). It's quiet enough to run when we're home, and if it's in a different room, we can hardly hear it. It requires emptying the bin and cleaning the brushes every few times that it runs, but the maintenance only takes a few minutes, and I'm happy to that instead of running a regular vacuum cleaner. We've been running it regularly for 8 months, and so far it shows no signs of wearing out. The remote control is awesome for spot cleaning a specific area, and also allows us to keep it parked underneath our furniture where we can't start it using normal start button. It doesn't have a lot of suction, but it more than makes up for it with the excellent brushes, and lots of repetition. I would be tempted to try out the 800 series for the stated improvement in suction, but I really can't complain about this one; it does an excellent job. And I will never again own a regular vacuum cleaner.
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy To Use, Efficient, Lightweight, Quiet, Time saver

770 iRobor Roomba
on June 5, 2015

I had surgery, and no one to do the cleaning. My husband bought the Roomba so the house would always look good. I programed the iRobot Roomba and it cleans at the same time and days without worrying if I have time to vacuum. I do not have to be home while the Roomba is cleaning. This is the best thing I could have ever owned.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time
Cons: Clogs Easily

Poof stopped charging all of a sudden

I own iRobot Roomba 780 for just under 2 years. The power adapter appears to still work. The led on the base no longer lights up or charge the Roomba. When it was working it charges as needed. Roomba if it had enough juice usually can find its way back to the base. I normally manually place it back on the base. I will purchase a new base and see what happens.
Pros: Hassle Free Operation
Cons: Can Get Stuck, Noisy
