Love this grill!!

I bought this grill 2-3 years ago. It was tricky to assemble but if you follow the directions (a hard thing for us guys to do), you'll end up with an excellent grill. I don't understand the negatives comments as my experience is completely opposite but then I take care of mine and keep it covered when not in use. I haven't had any issues with it. Absolutely my favorite grill that I have owned.
I strongly recommend a good quality cover to keep the rain out, otherwise water will accumulate in the bottom tray which could cause the pan to rust over time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the second Char Broil grill I have purchased, and I'm not very happy with the product. Upon receipt of my grill, the grill lid had been damaged in shipping. The replacement grill was sent to the wrong address, and after many phone calls I finally received a replacement lid. Assembly instructions were not sent with the grill, requiring me to download them using my own ink and paper. After assembling the grill, the lid still does not line up with the grill body, and the pot metal steel is very flimsy. I will use the grill tonight, but am cautious about it's performance. I certainly wouldn't recommend this product to anyone else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome grill

I've had this grill several months now and I've guild several times. Burgers to BBQ chicken. I love the amount of space you get with this grill and that you can lower and higher the charcoal pan by turning the crank. It regulates the heat very well. I'm not sure why other people are having issues with it being flimsy. I move mine all the time and do so with love. ❤ Next time I'm going to try smoking a chicken to practice smoking with it. I'm giving it a 5 ***** I love it. Great grill and very satisfied customer. Thank you.

Does the Job

I have been using my second Deluxe Charcoal Box Grill, for a couple of years now. The first one lasted nearly two years before the charcoal pan rusted out, as this one has now. These grills have a couple of issues:
1- the mild steel charcoal pan does rust out too quickly. However I did replace this one.
2- The generally thin wall construction is too weak to withstand the torque of the lid being raised back to it's resting position, when opened. I fixed this on my second grill by installing a small safety chain on each side of the lid. This prevents the weight of the lid from damaging the back wall of the bottom, when opened too fast.

Otherwise, this is a good grill, It would be better if the charcoal pan and lift mechanism were made of stainless steel. I do like the size of the cooking area, the sturdy grate to cook on and the side tables. Therefore, the durability is the only fault I have noticed.
