A Pricy but Outstanding Case

I have owned this case for approx. a month. For a protective case, it is outstanding. This is due to the following factors:
-It is sleek
-It is attractive
-It is lightweight
-It is sleek

Because of these factors, the case does not seem to take much or anything away from the "sexy" of the iPod touch without the case. However... If you are currently using an adhesive screen protector (such as InvisibleSHIELD) with your iPod touch, and are planning to buy this case, I would STRONGLY recommend that you remove it before putting on the case. I say this because if you press to hard on OtterBox's built-in screen protector, it will "stick" to the adhesive screen protector, leaving an extremely ugly effect of your iPod display. However, this can be fixed by disassembling the case, then putting it back together again.
The only other thing that I would complain about is the price of this case. However if money is not an issue for you, then I would say that this case is almost considered a "must have".
Pros: High quality, Durable, a slim sleek and attractive protective case
Cons: somewhat steep price

I have had my case for five months and have had no complaints. It has protected my itouch through normal drops but now I feel I need to write a review of this case. My itouch had been missing for three days. It finally turned up outside in my backyard. Two of those days it had rained and just sunny the third. There was no damage to the itouch and still had a charge. I highly recommend this product.
Pros: High quality, Durable, water resistant

Broke within a year of purchasing

I bought this about 9 months ago, and by 6 months, the plastic on the inside had cracked without any dropping over 3 feet. The plastic of the screen has come off. I have been very careful with it and it has not gone through any vigorous ordeals. I am very disappointed, as I was excited about the Drop Protection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't Live Up to Expectations

This is a good case and does protect the iPod from drops. The case fully protects it, but doesn't do everything it is advertised to. It is supposed to be dust proof, but dirt gets inside all the time and I have to clean it out by taking the entire case off. A small rock even got inside and made a big scratch in the iPod's shell. Three of the clips that hold the case together broke, too. Also, the screen protector scratches easily. I have only had this case for 3 months. This isn't what I expected from OtterBox.
Pros: protects against drop
Cons: Low quality, not dust proof, screen protector scratches easily, clips break easily

Screen protector issue

Just got my black/coal otterbox defender in today. I put it on my ipod and if I press too hard on the screen (which isn't much harder than a normal push) it sticks to my other screen protector (Zagg Sheild HD). It looks like and oily liquid and makes blotches all over my screen. I thought it might just be oils from the factory so I washed it with soap and worlds best glass cleaner and it still does it. Kind of and upsetting quality control thing for me because I watch movies a lot. May take the screen protector out. Other than that, it is a good heavy duty case that keeps a slim profile.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: screen protector

Durable case

This is a very durable case and great protection for the iPod. I wish there were more "girly" colors as the only choice is really the purple. The wrist strap is a nice feature. A couple of things I don't like are that the hard plastic case is extremely difficulty to remove (much harder to do than on my iPhone 4) and I also had the same problem another reviewer had w/ the spots on the screen once the case is on. I called Otterbox was told to use a dryer sheet to help absorb moisture but this hasn't worked well. Finally, if there was a way to make these cases dockable that would be great - it's impossible to use on the docking stations.

Cons: hard to remove plastic case, can't put on docking station
