Simple washer for an affordable price

Just delivered and I have done three washes. It is very quiet and does a good job of cleaning. Simple top loader washer for an affordable price. Prefer this machine's mechanical controls over the electronic ones on higher priced models. In my experience mechanical control panels have a longer life than electronic ones and a less expensive repair rate. I can set my wash water level (five settings) and temperature (3 settings). All rinses are cold water only. Ample size 3.8 cu ft. drum. Three wash cycles include whites, colors, and permanent press. Power rinse option for using liquid fabric softener. Suggest using it if using liquid softener as I stained my clothes with the first wash. Should have read the directions first. Funnel fill for disbursing liquid bleach and mixing with the water included. No need for high efficiency (HE) detergent. Although this model is not rated HE the costs to run posted by GE seem affordable. It will depend on your usage and utility rates. Spin cycle did adequate job of removing water from the drum and most from the clothes. Final test will be longevity. Previously owned this model's predecessor which lasted 9 years averaging 7 washes a week without need for repair. Hoping for the same performance from this model which comes with a one year parts and labor warranty.

This is a nice washer. I love the fact that is has NO locking lid feature! Washes clothes very good & a decent time. It has self adjusting back legs which is great. No more old washing machine bouncing all the floor! It has nice simple settings which I prefer.

Super washer-super quiet!

With my first load, it was so quiet, I had to put my hands on the cabinet to see if it was actually working. Of course it was! Very little vibration and ultra quiet. I like having an agitator and selecting the amount of water for the load of clothes. My clothes are cleaner!

Bought this last month, didn't want HE. this works great and does great job. less bells and whistles, which is what I prefer. After all, just trying to wash clothes.!
