Hate this washer. Would never buy GE again! Dryer is no better

I picked this washer because it is much newer than my old washer but yet it is similar to what I am used to. I have noted that is noisier, perhaps because of the higher rate of spin.

We are very pleased with our new washer. We especially like the large capacity and quiet efficiency of the machine. It handles a variety of clothing types because of the numerous features. Our previous GE washer lasted over 20 years and it looks like we may be on our way for a long time with another good GE washer. Thanks!!

Will not let you wash in hot water

I set the washer for Hot, but it only gives luke warm water, Warm gives cold water and Cold is well, cold. My hot water heater is set to 120 degrees. Had repair person look at it and was told this washer has a temp. control for energy efficiency, so in other words all you can wash in is cold, and not so cold water. If I had been told that by salesman I wouldnt have bought it but I cant afford the 20% restocking fee so Im stuck with this machine. So far it (Ive only had it 2 weeks) it washes well....fingers crossed!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
