Poorly designed and manufactured

Repairman states that the "Power Rinse" feature, supposedly for the use of fabric softener, MUST ALWAYS BE TURNED ON in order for the machine to operate correctly. This makes no sense to me, but I keep it on as instructed. The agitator is extremely slow on ALL SETTINGS, Whites, Permanent Press, or Colors. Time between the agitations is as if the machine were set for a delicate load. This is unless I stop the machine by pushing in the Cycle Selector Knob and turning the knob while the machine is supposedly "off."
I would NOT RECOMMEND spending money for this machine. After two service calls, the problems have yet to be resolved. I can not even give Performance, Quality or Value one star!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

washes out dirt !

This is my 2nd GE washer with agitator. I'm SO GLAD they still make a washer that uses enough water to wash out farm dirt and leave clothes and blankets really clean. Thank you! (Those new High Efficiency washers just do not get the clothes clean.) This GE is wonderful and I hope GE will continue to make this model. I can even wash quilts in it. Great product.

I ran my first load. The first thing I noticed was the water dripping from the large knob that selects the cycle. After filling it, I noticed there was no detergent cup or place to specify where the detergent went.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does a Good Job

This machine does a good job and I love the power rinse. It runs very quietly except for the times when shifting cycles...there is a loud noise when a valve closes...at least that is what I think...but most of the time I never even hear the machine while it is running. It holds a lot of clothes and seems to handle all sizes quite well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
