After the purchase found out that it doesn't provide hot water - was told by the store that GE regulates the flow of the hot water coming into the machine. Why bother to have a hot setting if you don't get hot water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple, basic machine, good-sized tub, fairly quiet. I bought this machine because it allowed me to add clothes during a cycle, but I don't like that if I start the load on "small load" then decide to add more clothes and make it a "medium load" it won't add water. I can wind the dial all the way around, but it just starts where it left off and doesn't add more water.
I would recommend this to a friend!
