Performs as expected

Purchased to replace old unit in service over 20 years. New unit is quiet and efficient. I like the variable speed direct drive feature, it really gets clothes spun dry. No extra features I don't need, just what I do need. You get what you pay for with this unit.

Basic, decent washing machine

I bought this washer last summer when my old washer reached the point of no return, or no repair. Two things that I am unhappy about are the depth of the tub. I'm tall, so it is not a problem, but someone in the 5'5" or shorter range would have some problems getting their clothes out. The other issue is a bit more troublesome. The first time I used fabric softener, I noticed oily spots on some of the clothes. For the most part, I was able to treat the spots with Shout and re-wash; not all of the spots came out, but most faded. The 2nd time I used the fabric softener, the same thing happened. I have cleaned out the dispenser, I always dilute the fabric softener, and I use very little. When it happened the third time, and completely destroyed a new blouse, I called repair. There is nothing in the fabric softener dispenser that could cause the oily spotting, so I am at a loss as to why this has happened.

Simple and old style

This washer has great capacity and washes clothes great. I'm not impressed with the high efficiency washers and specifically looked for an older style new washer. Very happy!

We bought this machine in Febraury 2013, we are replacing it. The barrel stays off balance. We cannot get anyone to service the machine for repairs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When it was time for a new washer, I knew exactly what I wanted. No bells and whistles or digitals, just simple push and select like we've been using for 40 years. We are getting up there in age and this is perfect for our needs. It's very quiet, has a bigger tub and everything comes out clean. Very happy with this purchase

washes with a slower agitation than previous one I had, but it seems to wash as well and is quiet. so far pretty good. have had for about 5 months.
