Too much noise

Okay, not great

I've owned this washer for a few months. It works. It ashes clothes okay which is the main thing.
I like that you can control the amount of water in the load and the water temperature independently of the cycle. It has a deep, pretty stainless steel tub. At 5'4" I have to stretch to remove clothes from the bottom of the tub.
On the negative side, the metal of the entire washer seems thinner than that of my old washer. It's loud. There is a handhold only on the right side of the lid. This is irritating because you can't grab the lid anywhere along the front side and open it.
There is no designated "Delicate" cycle on the dial. This is something I didn't notice when I bought it. I thought every modern washer would have a delicate cycle. Nowhere in the instruction manual does it mention a delicate cycle.

All told, I'd rate this washer useable, and perhaps better than the newer truly "low flow" washers, but still not as good as a similar washer produced say 10 years ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great tub size and quiet operation

Spins out most water so drying is faster. Hugh stainless steel washing tub allows more clothes per load. Quite operation - you don't know it is running.

IT'S OK

Have had this a few months now. Not real thrilled with the way it fills with water. It's not like the old washers where Large Load meant Large Load. I set the setting for Large load and it barely fills with enough water to cover the clothes. Then the agitation is not as vigorous as the old machines. Think some things don't come out as clean as they should. A heavy load in the washer makes for a noisey cyle when it spins. Just not as happy as I thought I would be with this one.

This washer does a great job washing our clothes as well as the piddle pads we use for our dogs. I'm so glad GE still makes a washer that has an agitator.

Quiet operation; capable of a variety of load sizes; dependable, thorough cleaning in a relatively short cycle time (generally within 30 minutes).
