huge capacity stainless steel drum

Great design, no electronic parts to break down - fantastic, basic washer that works as it should. Huge capacity, stainless steel drum & you controll the amount of water, not the washer. Clean clothes every time which are spun almost dry! I highly recommend this washer.

I didn't want to get a front load washer nor one that needs special soap so I did lots of research and finally found this wonderful Washer!!! It has an agitator and works fantastic. I love it!!!

Some significant Issues

Purchased just over 3 months ago. Within the first month washer came significantly out of balance at least 5 times. Pros: Spins out well-decreasing drying time, wash is clean, fairly quiet in operation. Cons: rinse cycle does not always fill correctly (ex: full load of jeans tried to rinse with about 5 inches of water more than once), clothes get heavily intertwined on the rinse cycle (especially shirt sleeves) which increase wrinkles out of the washer and leads to the out of balance issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed.

I purchased the washer/dryer pair when my old washer quit working. I was basically forced to go with the GE brand because the other brands of dryers were almost an inch wider than the GE and would not fit in my laundry space. I am happy with the dryer but disappointed with the washer. It is noisy, many times does not stay balanced despite my efforts to keep it balanced and the water temperature is cooler than expected. The hot temp setting is barely warm and the warm setting almost cool. I am short in height and the depth of the tub requires me to go on tip toe to remove clothing. I could have gone with a front load set but chose not to for several reasons, one of which was that I had always been happy with my top load.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
