We purchased this washer less than a year ago and a plastic knob broke off. Not to mention there is no "gentle" on this washer and it beats the heck out of your clothes while washing. Do not buy this washer!

I absolutely hate this machine. It only allows lukewarm water, becomes unbalanced constantly and twists clothes up around the agitator so badly you can hardly get them untangled. It also does not remove all of the water after spin cycle.
Save yourself these problems and don't buy this machine.

I have the same issues as reported below. The machine only allows lukewarm water and the agitator gets cloth stuck under it. This causes the loads to be unbalanced and during spin cyle the machine makes a terrible noise and shuts down. Even when spin cycle completes, the clothes are still very wet. It's good GE discontinued it but many of us are stuck with a poor product.

I bought the washer in February and it works like a charm. It has all the features i need and want. The super sized stainless steel tub allows me to wash my biggest, thickest comforters with ease. I a pleased with the workmanship of this appliance and the price could not be beat!

Doesn"t provide hot water wash...energy saver? Extra large load is about half of what my previous washer was capable of. Agitation is definitely wimpy.
