I absolutely hate this machine. It only allows lukewarm water, becomes unbalanced constantly and twists clothes up around the agitator so badly you can hardly get them untangled. It also does not remove all of the water after spin cycle.
Save yourself these problems and don't buy this machine.

I have the same issues as reported below. The machine only allows lukewarm water and the agitator gets cloth stuck under it. This causes the loads to be unbalanced and during spin cyle the machine makes a terrible noise and shuts down. Even when spin cycle completes, the clothes are still very wet. It's good GE discontinued it but many of us are stuck with a poor product.

Doesn"t provide hot water wash...energy saver? Extra large load is about half of what my previous washer was capable of. Agitation is definitely wimpy.

Bought this a couple weeks ago. The wash is good. However, the back panel kind of rocks when I turn the dial. It appears to be made very cheaply. The dial does not match up with notches. I wanted an agitator type machine. I feel it cleans better than the high efficiency units.
