Works better than built.

Bought this a couple weeks ago. The wash is good. However, the back panel kind of rocks when I turn the dial. It appears to be made very cheaply. The dial does not match up with notches. I wanted an agitator type machine. I feel it cleans better than the high efficiency units.

USE THIS AS A BASIC WASHER IN A VACATION HOME. HAS BEEN VERY RELIABLE OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS.

We bought this machine last year and got a 5 year extended. Right off the bat we had trouble and called for technician. They found the top ring that has some type of liquid in it wasn't there. So they sent in another drum. After that when we would wash everything did good until the spin cycle / It would start banging around like it was going to explode! In fact I was even afraid to stand by it to turn it off!! Checked level of machine it was bubble on center. Feet were set as per Technician install. I can see why this machine is no longer being manufactured. Wished I had of known of the change in product before I got rid of my old washer. I would have paid the cost to have it fixed!!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have had the Washer and matching dryer for 3 years and couldn't be happier. They are outstanding products. Quiet and durable. We use both every single day. Will definitely buy GE again in the future if these ever stop working.

Basic washer and dryer but does a good job

We bought our set because it was the only set that would fit into our laundry closet. We've not had any problems the washer is quite large considering it is only 3.9 cubic feet. Our only complaint is the dryer is loud. Something it's worse than other times. No problem with the cleaning capacities and I like that it is simple the price was right,
