Great washer

I bought this washer over 4 months ago and have had no issues with it. It washes my clothes great and my son has even washed crayons in his pocket and those clothes were dried.
Once the clothes were covered with crayon (I was soo mad) I re washed them approximately 3 times with different soap and a majority of the crayon was out of the clothes. I was so happy with the result I didn't have to buy new clothes..

The best clothes washer

We are fortunate to have bought the last washer with an agitator. We appreciate having a washer that cleans the clothes. This year is our 50th anniversary. And, we had mostly GE washers during that time. This is the best one!

I just replaced my 3 year old washer with this model. The old machine was all computerized...I hated the fact that it told me what I could do and not do. This machine is like the kind I've had my entire adult life. I like to be able to add the detergent, etc while the tub is filling, plus I love the NO lock lid. Its a great machine and does a great job! Now I don't mind doing laundry again!

My new washer

Bought in August. I am so pleased with its performance. Surprised the tub was sooo large. Does a great job on all my clothes.

This washing machine is very noisy, unlike our previous GE washer. We thought it was breaking each time it changed cycles, but the dealer said it was all the relays and switches. It washes clothes fine, but we wonder how long it will keep working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was looking for the older style washer (not the new high efficiency ones) and this one was the best value I found. It has a stainless steel wash bin too which was nice. Cleans clothes well and only about 30-40 minutes per load.

Lacks a "Gentle Cycle"

We bought this machine because it had an agitator and it was not pre-programmed so one has more control. However, the "perma-press" cycle is not a "gentle cycle" that would use a lot. The perm-press cycle has strong agitation and a very fast spin, thus you end up with a lot of wrinkles
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
