GE Washer - Disappointing performance

This was does not recognize the "Hot" water setting. Water comes in barely tepid. I had to adjust my intake hoses to get enough hot water to reach an even slightly warm setting. Also, it does not dispense nearly enough water in the Wash cycle; has to be adjusted by holding the Reset button down. This option is not available in the rinse cycle. WON'T PUT OUT ENOUGH WATER IN RINSE, period, and that cycle is WAY too short. As a result, I have to run two full cycles, one with soap and a shorter one without.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

not enough water to cover clothes

Agitates at a glacial pace , It tore up one our mattress quilt with the setting at super. Evidently not enough water in the tank, it never gets full enough to cover the clothes. even on super setting. Tried to reset it to increase the water level that doesn't help. The clothes you put on top when you start the washer stay on top, they get wet but don't get washed. Oh buy the way when I say on top, actually are only half way up the drum. With the continued low water level I'm sure the motor will burn up.
I would only recommend this product if you want to wash one shirt or one pair of pants at a time.

Loud, noisy and just a piece of junk. According to the repairman the whole tub is starting to drop lower and it is banging on the sides of the machine (and expensive to repair). I have replaced the rubber dampening straps on the front 3 times because they keep breaking. I will not buy another GE product!

Doesn't wash good

Weak agitation in this machine and still soaking wet after spin cycle completes. I need to re-spin the clothes twice most of the time. I am very careful about the size of the loads also and it doesn't seem to matter. The clothes do not seem to be cleaned as well especially towels which I often have to re-wash or take to my mother's house.

Washing machine

Needed a new washing machine after my old one stopped working. Was looking for a simple washing machine without all the technology. Found this one, like the features and most of all, the features that were not there. It works great, is very quiet and the clothes are practically dry when they come out of the spin cycle. The only thing I have found that does not do that great with this machine are the detergent pods. Liquid or powder do better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ok for the price

Washes good. Gets confused if you change the load size after it starts to fill with water. Has a terrible center agitator design. The four sides that go down to the bottom base is not attached, leaving a gap between the base and those dividers. Because of this, everything gets caught in it. It has torn clothes and pulled strings from shorts. I absolutely hate the design of it. The gap serves no purpose other then to catch things during the wash cycle. Clothes get knotted up because of it. The cycle knob is also very delicate. Won't take much to break it.

the NOISE MACHINE

I have used this machine 3 times and the noise is extremely annoying PLUS the machine shakes like crazy. I checked to see if the packing rod was out already. It is. But NOT happy with that loud noise and the shaking...where will it go??.
