Excellent washer!

I was looking for a good quality washer, like my old one, with simple dials, with the agitator in the middle of the tub. I wanted to be able to set the water temps., water level, cycle, etc. myself, and that's what you get with this machine. I love how quiet this washer is; I still open the lid to check that it's on and doing its thing- you can barely hear it. My laundry is cleaner than it ever was before. My father-in-law tried to steer me toward a pricier model with a lot of fussy little features on it, but this washer is really all anyone needs. The capacity is awesome- I can wash a king- sized quilt in it, no problem. If you want a great machine that lets you control each load, thoroughly washes your things, but without all the pricey mumbo-jumbo on it, and at a great price, this is your washer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Water levels are deceiving

how can you rinse a large load of clothes in 2 gallons of water? In order to get a decent amount of water in the tub, we have to set it on the highest setting. Very frustrating. More than 5 items in the tub, it distributes the clothes unevenly and shakes during the spin. Very frustrating again. Wish I had my old GE set back.

Had to replace my washer after 18 years of faithful service to my family. Overall very happy with this GE washer it is easy to use and figure out what settings work best for each load, clothes come out clean which is most important to me the price was good and delivery exceptional

Nice large stainless steel tub.

Lifetime (55 yr.) customer. Water levels for rinse too low so I have to rinse large load to least twice. Still it only covers about 1/3 of the clothes. How does this save water? Each new model we have purchased we have likes less than the last. It gets clothes cleaned, though not rinsed, but is very hard on clothing due to twisting, turning inside out, breaking underwire bra's, etc, We bought top loader washer to prevent the mildew smell related to front loaders-at least this doesn't have that problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
