I bought this several months ago and have been very happy with it. I just wanted a good basic washer and this fits the bill. Cleans well, was affordable, and gets the job done.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really like how my GE washer runs. It's a nice basic washer that suites our needs well, it also runs pretty quiet and gets our clothes nice and clean.

I bought this GE washer a year ago to replace a Maytag water saver machine that only lasted 5 years and it broke down. I am very happy with this washer, it holds a large capacity of clothing and gets the job done.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Initially loved this washer and large capacity. BUT developed a leak in the drum that could not be repaired after multiple visits by a certified tech. The ONE time a service plan paid for itself when I got money to buy a new machine..a Whirlpool-no problems

I love the large tub and was happy with the price. Agree with a fellow reviewer about missing the delicate cycle. The on/off knob feels a little flimsy.

had service out twice and now i noticed it leaves water in below the basket from the last load forcing me to run a cycle before using it or wash in old rinse water. It also knocked my laundy tub off the wall when a lad was unbalanced....stand clear!

tangled clothes
on January 13, 2014

i love how well it cleans and how quiet it is however, clothes with any type of drawstrings, spaghetti straps, bras, etc, get tangled up really bad, i have to use lingerie bags for even a hoodie. the bottom paddle broke off just a little after one year of purchase. fortunately, ge is still going to repair it even tho its was only 9 days past warranty so im very grateful for ge's service. they asked me to review the product so they can prevent these problems in the future. other than the tangling, its a great washer, you just have to learn what will and wont tangle up
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this to replace a Whirlpool Duet front load washer, which I hated with a passion. This washer is fairly quiet, cleans great, and my clothes don't stink like they di in the Duet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
