Excellent washer. Expect that from GE!!!

I've had GE appliances for years. First washer lasted 18 years before replacement. Got another brand, and it lasted on 6 years. I've learned my lesson and am back with the brand I trust- GE. I'm very satisfied with the new washer and the improved features. So quite and does the job.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it washes like a dream. replaced a hi tech washer that was not able to wash because it did not use enough water.

My last washer was a GE, it still works! My daughter needed a washer so I gave her mine and bought another. I've never had trouble with my GE washer so that led me to purchase another.

The GTWN2800D1WW (washer) looks great but my wife has to pre-treat and wash laundry four times for normal dirt and stains.

What is a colors vs a white wash?

I was a bit taken aback by the machine the gentle wash seemed very slow and it is hard to believe the clothes could actually be clean. The rinse and spin cycle is the alter ego it sounds a jet turbine warming up. I have to say it actually seems to wash the clothes well but makes a lot of clunking and clanging as it changes through the cycle. I can find no rhyme or reason to the color vs white cycle they are identical and you select the water temperature. I would prefer a delicate cycle, and the crazy pulse thing on permanent press is bizare.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Surprised my wife

Even though our 18 year old washer was still working I replaced it with this unit. Very quiet. My wife thought it wasn't working because she couldn't hear it! Had it for a half year now and very pleased.

Bought washer 3 weeks ago because I needed one immediately. However when it was delivered driver unable to test since it was frozen he stated. The problem so far is that the timer dial is off. It does not point to off when the cycle is finished.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
