Good value for the money.
we are happy with the washer. The hose was short but they sent us out an adapter piece.

Can't Believe How Quiet the Washer is while running. It does have a few different sounds from the old washer though. Very balanced and takes a good size load.

EASY TO USE

I LOVE THIS WASHER! I bought a different brand, more modern fancy style at first and it was complicated to use, it told ME what water level, tempeture and length I WILL use and with all the senoring stages it goes through - it took 90 minutes to wash 2 queen sheets and 4 pilow cases....it was loud and I HATED the Locking Lid!! I sent it back after several uses and got my GE! What a joy this machine is. Its like the machine I'm use to using for the last 45 years.... EASY / SIMPLE and I pick my water level and the lid does NOT lock, which I love because I can toss a forgotten dish towel in or peek in to check things. Its SUPER quite, The tub is huge, in fact its a little to deep... I'm 5 foot 2 inches and its a stretch to get that little sock off the bottom, but its great for blankets and comforters, maybe, I just need to lower the legs a bit! Anyway, a couple of my neighbors have followed my washing machine saga, and they say THIS is what they want too .. GE is the only one left (that we found) that was still simple to use . We bought the matching dryer, LOVE it too !

I took my time and looked around for what I wanted .Just a plain old fashion washer no bells and other fancy things. I love the stainless steel tub and it is very quiet.

Adequate "Old-School" Washer

Very simple washer with few features. Best features are being able to select water levels and being gentler on clothing than previous washer. Worst feature is needing to add water separately when using fabric softener.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
