my wife loves it. Its very quiet and the lid doesn't lock so she can add clothes when ever she wants. We like the simple nature of this machne

I just had this installed today to replace my old washer (it finally broke - I had the old one for 30 years) The one thing I'm getting used to is how quiet the new one is! My family loves it (even though my husband can't quite figure out how to use it yet...) Thank you GE for always having great appliances.

Not Real Happy

I've had this washer for a few months. It washes my laundry well. Is easy to operate with the exception that it goes off balance almost every time I launder my queen sized sheets or a sweatshirt. Even a large bath towel has made it go off balance. It also makes a big bang when it starts to go off balance before it finally stops.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
